why would Toronto "want" Gudbranson?... besides usual Canchucklehead asking prices would mean a 1st, one of Nylander/Marner and a prospect.... you know... because Gudbranson is "so good".
besides I think the Leafs will just sign another couple of D-men out of the KHL/Sweden during the summer.. guys like Igor Ozhiganov or Nikita Tryamkin... perhaps both.... as Toronto has already proven to be a much more attractive location for hockey players who want a chance to win. 
Canucks will need to save their money for the 12Million the Boesser will get, and the 5 million that each of the twins will get. 
and 4 for Gudbranson.

Convert JV to more of a C role.
Example if he plays with Sutter no FO’s but takes over from there. Rather see his speed in open ice to drive the play with Sutter being the black hole he is. The 2 r both good on the back check so taking the puck away from Sutter much more is the idea.

Not a centerman, he can pass just needs confidence, that's his main hurdle which is true for most young guys so lets drag him and bash the frank out of him maybe that will help his confidence |
