I know a guy who knows a guy who is a nephew of the guy that 'decorated' Versteeg's car... so Hedman threat can be arranged.
Chara however... - MaximusAurelius
Nice.
Chara is old and slow...not a threat he once was |

Such a powerhouse. Their two playoff wins in the last 3 years don't matter. What matters is that they won a cup 7 years ago with an entirely different team - Santo_44
Not entirely.
They still have 5 players.

Yeah, why compare a team to the team that had 15 of the same players and similar age when you can compare the team 7 years ago with 5 of the players on it and when the players were in their mid 20s |

Well I am not really that confident the Leafs beat the Bruins in the playoffs the way things stand.
I dont think thats a controversial take |

Standings fluctuate. Teams get hot and cold. Boston will get cold and the media will say the Leafs have an easy 1st round matchup. When I'm looking at the teams I see two teams who are very even.
The biggest thing here is the arguments he's making. You don't use that Boston won a cup 8 years ago, and you don't say Boston plays better playoff hockey. They have 2 playoff wins in the last 3 years. It's all simply bullpoop |

I'm telling you now as well.
If the Leafs win the Cup, fans will be celebrating downtown and the party will go on for days.. There you will find UG, but he won't be celebrating, no, no.. Instead, he will be there telling Leaf fans about what roster decisions they should make for the next several seasons.. |

I think it's a coin flip. I'm not worried about the Leafs playing Boston, and I don't understand why some seem to be. I'm looking forward to a playoff series against a good team. Should be good hockey and a good gauge to see where the Leafs are in there development. Same story with Tampa.
Backdooring to the finals the way Ottawa did last season would seem hollow to me. |

we have a young and coming team. so a a lucky run this year could build into a real run for the cup next year.
guys want to go where they have the best chance to win. if we have a nice playoff run, ufas will be more interested in coming here and guys will stop blocking trades here. |

I think Leafs will do just fine in playoffs against bruins or lightning. Leafs had played 3rd game in 4 nights and perhaps just ran out of gas. If Lou Lamoriello makes a couple of moves to pump tires and improve us good if not summertime. We have a good team and are parked in top 10 and will make the playoffs. Leafs were 5-0-1 in last 6 games against bruins and played well against Capitals last playoffs. Lou-Shanny-hunter-Dubais know what they are doing. |

Bruins Leafs would be an amazing series.
I don't think either is on the same level as Tampa though. |

On a great note Raptors crushed Boston last night....
Soooo if they can make it to the conference final and face the Celtics its a guaranteed series win and off to the NBA finals....
Or are the rules different for basketball? |

Fair point, but I think that will happen regardless. I would imagine the Leafs are now a pretty attractive team for UFAs.
Sounds weird to say. Haha. |

I get that the Bruins have been in the contender realm since the 2011 finals. a few missteps but always there when you have Chara, Bergeron, Rask and Marchand. all big possession drivers. Age shouls catch up soon.. but not this season. they are legit |

I think we match up well against the Bruins.. We've beaten them 6 out of the last 7 games head to head..
I don't think 1 loss on a Saturday night changes that..
We saw how they came out flying against Anaheim.. This team is good. |

Toddlers don't knee people in the head during a hockey game.
Richardwads do. |
