I would argue that Peter Chiarelli was largely the architect of the 2011 Cup team, he either drafted or signed or traded for most of that team. Bergeron, Krejci and Tim Thomas being the glaring exceptions. - LeftCoaster
i thought that too. bruins fans set me straight on that. can't remember all the details, but i think part of the claim was the 2006 draft rankings that got them kessel, marchand and lucic were basically set when he got there.

Honestly it is ok to admit that you're struggling with a mid life crisis and you want to be like the other millennials that follow twitter, Facebook, Instagram, #metoo, eating Tide Pods and what ever else is the going trend in the world.
Do you believe that all prospects, if they are the top scoring player in their tier 2, tier 3 leagues should just step into the NHL and fore go the development process.
Tell me, do you keep a book on what peoples past posts are, and then bring them up years later? - Makita

#canucks prospect Elias Pettersson with 1A today. He now has 42 PTS (15-26-42) in 34 SHL games
Kid just continues to put up points! - LeftCoaster
Only 1 point today. He's slipping. Should have taken Lillygren.

Fair enough but he was the GM and ultimately made the picks so I don't fully buy that. |

It’s true. But to be fair then I think you have to be less critical of the Virtanen/McCann picks since it could’ve been a similar situation.
who knows |

A few questions, what is this tide eating thing? Is that true? Are kids doing that?
Twitter is my only social media.
I believe whatever league a prospect is in doesn't matter if he comes to the NHL (camp) and he proves he's better that what you have and he can produce at the NHL level. But I'm all for development before throwing kids out before they're ready.
No...that would require effort on my part. - LeftCoaster
Yeah that Tide thing is real, stupid social media again.
On the other stuff I really don't care, I know where you stand and I agree on all of it.
I was just being facetious. |

I don't work in Saudi but most social media is banned in the Middle East. Everyone there just has VPN's. |

Did people start doing Tide pods because Donal Trump became president or did Donald Trump become president because people were doing Tide pods?

yup.
bowman, holland, PC, lombardi, gillis are all the same. didn't build the core. but used cap circumventing deals to keep strong teams together.
once they lost the benefits of the cap circumventing deals, it started to show that they aren't very good GM's. - Tumbleweed
All of the above had no vision excepting the present. That goes for most GM’s. Todays NHL IMO teams do not hire a GM with the entire skill set the job demands. Back in the day Quinn was our SuperBoss but that could never fly nowadays. A newer structure is needed on the management team & the appropriate titles given. The Prez GM Coach hierarchy system is flawed. I can see titles/roles being 5 positions and all redefined.
2 r still unemployed.
3 are struggling.
ALL 5 r cap math challenged
