Yeah, i'd say some sort of Bellows/Ho-Sang/Aho and a 1st combo would work well for both teams

Snow probably desperate to get the Islanders into the playoffs so he can plead to Tavares to re-sign.

I guess it's nothing new but
Jeff Paterson: Scouts listed to attend last night’s Canucks – Blackhawks game: Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, Montreal Canadiens, Dallas Stars, New York Islanders, Vegas Golden Knights and the Arizona Coyotes.

All at the last game too vs the Avs.

Yeah, that's my thinking. He has to do something to show they'll be a playoff team next year. (In all honesty, they're screwed)

I've seen him play 3 times on TV and highlights. He is great offensively but his defensive game... well there really just isn't one.
- manvanfan

As long as he's not small you can teach him to play defense. Offensive dmen are badly needed!!

Someone should inform Shah that Henrik doesnt get paid to score goals, he never has. But I get the humour

Not sure if you saw the highlight where Hank had the top 3/4 of the net wide open from 8 feet away and couldn't get the puck 2 inches off the ice.

lol...reverse psychology...whenever I call an opposing team blowout they seem to win...but i'll be right eventually.

So...I'm hearing Boeser needs to work on his D skills reading back through the thread...

doesn't matter how much you score if you can't play D. Especially under TG. See where it got "feelings"

Al Arbour > Travis Green or Jim Benning

"When asked about Mike Bossy, NHL Network analyst Craig Button related a story told to him by his father, legendary scout Jack Button, regarding a discussion about the 1977 NHL Draft between New York Islanders general manager Bill Torrey and coach Al Arbour.

"Bill Torrey went back to Al Arbour and said, 'Here's our choice,'" Craig Button said. "'We can take this guy, he's a really good two-way player, more of a defensive player, really knows how to check. Or we can get this guy, he might be a prolific scorer at the NHL level, but his defense isn't good.' Al Arbour said to Bill Torrey, 'Let's take the scorer, I can teach him to check. I can't teach the checker how to score.'"

Manvan - I think they just said on the radio this morning the Canucks had 22 goals from their defence last year, league worst, they need some offensive guys back there in order to get better.

"Liljegrin be nice for the Leafs sad to say"

"Tanev for Liljegrin/2nd?"

"Foote over Liljegrin. VEGAS luvin it"

Just after Detroit picked a 9 it seems:

"Vilardi Necas Liljegrun my next 3 picks"

Seems that he's gone down in your estimation since a certain team drafted him.

- walshyleafsfan

That was fun. Looking back at all our reactions to the EP pick. More ppl upset than happy. Wonder how they are feeling now?

Carl Neill playing in the CIS now is thinking wow I should be in the Norris discussion right now.

His defence isn't good sounds better then his defensive in no where to be found.
