I have absolutely no recollection of Percy whatsoever. - Atomic Wedgie
you don't remember him?
If you look close enough, you could tell that Percy was thinking "left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot... You put one foot in front of the other.."

Don't forget Garfallo
Also McDavidville - TheMussel
i almost feel sorry for them....
....but not enough that i wouldn't want to drain them of more assets in trade before chiarelli gets fired. |

It would be nice if Doug Maclean could get McDermotts name right.
It was all over the map last night.

*Waiting to hear from UG that the only reason we're in a playoff position is because our division is weak, not because we have the 8th overall best record in the league
*Also waiting to hear that we won't win a playoff round, because only the top teams win - Kinger34
Well the fact the other 5 teams in their division have been terrible does help. you cant deny that. Until the last few games it has been iffy. The Leafs have not been world beaters.
last week or so they were the 16th team if you ranked the league 1-16 for playoff mathups

we have a relatively easy schedule to wrap up the season...and still lots of games to against the bottom of the atlantic.
i'm hoping we continue to move up in the overall standings.

In short
If the Leafs lost the last 4 games instead of won they would have had 8 less points |

I haven't checked, but would it be fair to assume that Boston and Tampa would have a similar schedule? |

I always hesitate to call games easy, esp down the stretch.

Eyeballing it.
Boston definitely has some stiffer competition with a jam packed March schedule.
Tampa looks like their competition gets even easier with a balanced schedule.
Toronto is pretty balanced for both but the schedule is way better than the first half.
I still think it stays TBL/BOS/TOR though. |

Boston has something like 34 games in 67-68 days.
They face Tampa 3 times
ST Louis 2 times
Winnipeg once
And have 7 back to backs.....
It will not be easy
And a team that struggles with injuries, it won't help in that regard. |

It'll be nice if they can clinch earlier than early-April this season. (Which seems pretty likely) |

I am still not over that last game last season where they just needed to win and they play the Sens in rd 1 |

Well let's all join hands and wish pain and grief on the Boston Bruins. May their rough schedule bring them many losses. |

Me too, because that first round leaf exit at the hands of a lesser team would make it that much more sweeter.
Oh yeah, good morning everyone. |

Boyle is better than a 4th line
I never said trade a 2nd round pick for a 4th line center so do not spew poop please - Santo_44
Boyle is a 4th line player. He was a 4th liner on a non-playoff Tampa Bay team when the leafs traded for him, he was a 4th liner on the leafs when everyone was health, and he is currently playing on the 4th line with the Devils. He may be able to play on the 3rd line, but he is a 4th liner on the majority of playoff teams.
I understand what you are saying about trading picks if it makes you better. However, I think you are over estimating what you get with 2nd rounder. Unless you are adding to the 2nd, you are getting nothing but depth, either bottom pairing d or 4th line players who may be able to step into a 3rd line role if injuries require him to.
I understood the purpose of trading for Boyle last season. The team was young and he offered some leadership with playoff experience. Add to that the leafs also had multiple 2nd rounders. However, I think it would be a mistake to continue giving 2nd rounders away, especially for guys like Boyle.
