I didn't even think of this, but we literally went on a run like the one we need 1 season ago. |

It's true. I remember we were unlikely to catch Minny, but the Hawks got hot. |

He's going to slot in at 4C and play 10 minutes or less a night, I'd guess. Depending on how intense his training was, he could be an effective faceoff/PK/defense first 4C from the start. The guy was a legit 2C for most of his career. What will his cap hit be? Wasn't he still under contract when retiring this past summer? Does that mean his cap hit has to be the same as his previous contract? - EnzoD
What I heard on the XM channel this morning - if he had filed retirement papers, he would have to go thru waivers to come back into the league. Apparently, he hadn't - and he was a (an?) UFA, thus able to sign directly with Nashville. |

And that includes the Hawks losing their last 4, and 7 out of their last 10.
So - in the 27 games before losing their last 4 - they went 20-5-2=42 points. |

That would do it for us. Not likely, but it could. |

I put Saad in there because the hawks have a lot of wingers and that opens up salary to sign Trouba in the event they actually got him. He'll likely get more than 5 million a year, but you never know I guess. |

He's stuck behind the 32 yr old Buff for the big Dman minutes. He wants 25+ minutes and top PP minutes. - Mr Ricochet
He's actually been on the top pair with Morrissey until he got hurt. Buff is playing more now but he was actually on the third pairing. I've been watching the jets a bit lately since the hawks have been so hit or miss this year. |

Yeah. That's when everyone was saying there was no way the Hawks would catch Minnesota. The Wild were too good and the Hawks were too inconsistent.
We know how that turned out. |

Jesus. There are only about 5 "we SHOULD win" games in there. The rest will be battles. |

Was just thinking the same thing. But if the Hawks get hot and get in with that schedule down the stretch, it's not out of the realm of possibility to repeat what Nashville did last year. |

At this point last year, we were 30-15-5. We are 24-19-7 right now. Nashville was 24-18-8 last year. |

I don't think they want sadd because they have to pay lanie and 6to 8 mill per year . As for what trouba would get thats probably starting point 5 for 5 |

I was just about to go look that up. It's 1 point away from being mirror images. Now we sweep them in the first round. |

DK said: Guys that I think are 50/50 to return are Gustafsson, Duclair, Jurco.
I say: I think Duclair is better than 50/50 to return - he is RFA, should be able to bridge him at an affordable cap hit, Q likes him enough to put him with Toews and AdB (and I think Q is better than 50/50 to return next year), and I see not only speed but good hands and vision. If he can figure out how to finish.... - StLBravesFan
Absolutely agree on Duclair.......he's exactly the type of player that this team needs. Youth and Speed....... now if he can keep his antics and attitude in check, that trade is a steal. He'll hopefully start finishing some of these great chances he gets. Need another one or two like him to add to the group for next year.
