They traded Keith? Hey DK, sorry, but Breadman racked up points in the regular season and while the whole team looked like garbage vs NSH in the playoffs, the stink he oozed was on another level.

Yes Saad v2.0 hasn't lived up to the billing yet but If you can find tape of Panarin getting five feet beyond the Ped's blue line from last year's drubbing I'd love to see it.

I loved Hammer but Stan sold high and got a player that has been solid more often than not.

The rest are mostly 20/20 observations blessed by hindsight and there was nothing wrong with the AA deal at the time...still isn't.

There is no 20/20 hindsight on losing Saad over $1mil and then trading for a far inferior player in Anisimov and a bust of a prospect in Dano. I was outraged at the time and rightfully so. Your comment is the poster child for scapegoating Panarin when the entire team was atrocious. Singling out Panarin is nothing more than the Russian stereotype of not being playoff performers. Ask Steve Yzerman if Sergei Federov cared about winning Cups. Again, the ultimate irony this year when the Hawks (likely) miss the playoffs due to trading the "playoff" player for the "regular season" player.

That trade eventually brought Duclair here? Singling out Panarin, he just wasn't very good in the playoffs, set up in his one timer position and wait. Biggest reason we lost we couldn't score, Panarin had how many goals during the regular season? Honestly Enzo I'm shocked you haven't gotten a call from one of the NHL franchises😁

How many goals did 19 and 88 score in that series? Duclair is a nice prospect but Panarin is an elite proven scorer. I have more hockey playing qualifications to GM a team than Scotty Bowman's son. Neither of us should be the GM of the Hawks.

Consistency! They have to play every game as intensely as they did against Nashville. And if they can do that, and they have not proven they are capable of doing so game in game out, at least they will be entertaining to watch, instead of that frustrating "damn, they're pathetic" feeling they create when they just go through the motions.

I agree with 19 and 88, but Panarin an elite scorer, sure during the regular season on the same line with Kane, period. And everyone female doges on here how he didn't get anything for Sharp, Leddy etc etc, he finally makes a move and realizes his team needs Saad especially for the playoffs, and it is ironic got a playoff performer and not make the playoffs, and Panarin if he kept scoring points the way he did with Kane the Hawks would be held hostage to Panarins contract negotiations. Unlike you I like the move since Panarin won't be a 30 goal scorer, point per game player anymore unless in a couple of years he comes back to play with Kane or someone like him.

IIRC, even tho there was lots of blog talk about his tournament disappearance, the trade was made because (a) Panarin was only 2 years at $6 while Saad is 4 years; and Saad is a better 200 foot player,, Panarin being mainly an offensive threat.

I’m still good with the trade - both will be what they have been, if not this year then going forward.

I’ll be the judge of that. Got a resume? Could be an opening with the way this season is going.

Apples to oranges. Your first statement is the epitomy of 20/20 hindsight. Yes losing Saad at the time sucked but I believe Stan was for the most part given at least a pass for making lemonade out of lemons by getting AA and a player many thought could be the cherry on the deal. I'm pretty sure Dano wasn't labelled a bust when we got him (revisit earlier statement regarding epitomy of hindsight being 20/20).

And yes it's also 20/20 hindsight because you can now see all the moves that did or didn't work out and possibly how they could have squeezed Saad into the mix.

Much like you've done with the Toews deal for the last two and a half years, now your pissing and moaning about not being able to have Saad and Panarin on the same team because of money. Like Toews, Saad didn't give the team a hometown discount. It was thought he might sign for $4.5M. He wanted $6M. If your going to call out Toews why not call out Saad, though maybe we could put a moratorium on the complaining to say maybe 6 months to a year since I know you don't like other people beating a dead horse.

Panarin was found money but where did I scapegoat him in my statement? I said the whiole team sucked. The guy went balls to the wall to get his extra $$$ at the end of the season but he didn't seem all that interested in getting any where near the net in the Preds series. Yes there were more problems with the team than Artie and they all could have used a heart transplant but as things would have it he was your most tradable asset.

Let's see Artie perform in the playoffs before we start giving him the benefit of revisionist history.

Shalunov who if he makes it over to the NHL will likely be 27 when he becomes a Hawk or they decide to deal him.

The other two were from more recent drafts, Artur Kayumov from '16 and Andrei Altybarmakyan in '17.

Shalunov plays for the Moscow team which is the second best team in the KHL. Even though Shalunov has missed ten games this year due to injuries, he is tied with a teammate for goals scored on the team and second in total points and leads league with a + 28. He is kind of streakish player like Sharp use to be. He is very creative around the net and deadly with his shots... I think he leads the team in shots taken. However, My main concern I have with Shalunov is he doesn't always come to play( tendency to drift at times... Mind not always ready to play.

Why even wonder. The fix was in as soon as the Vegas owner ponied up the cash.

Justin Lowe: I Really Like This Team
Don't mistake the title of this blog for more bi-polar feelings on this Blackhawks team from yours truly; these are Stan Bowman's, not mine.

I personally am not 100% content with this 2017-18 team, but I also get it. There are some veterans that are either just really tired from playing a lot of games or they have lost a bit of zest for the game.

I do, however, like some certain aspects from last night's 2-1 win over the Nashville Predators.

Whoa, whoa, snowflake....
You're always ripping on me for critiquing other people's comments.
Guessing sales are down after tariffs on solar panels?
So Stan has been the GM of a Stanley cup winning team and you're more qualified than he is? Either the thin air or the legal pot has turned your brain to pudding.
SAD!
