“Seriously, how did I win MVP?”

A lot of other people are wondering the same thing Brock.

John Garrett was a Vancouver Canuck when he played in the All Star game, whether he played a game or not.

Nah it's tough when you have to other players top 5 in scoring with barzal not far behind. Barzal will most likely lead our team in points by the end of the season. Good problem to have.

I’m considering alcohol may be necessary to keep up with the intensity of this highly intellectual blog.

Any wine recommendations SVP?

The kid has been impressive to the say the least. 2 differing styles & makes for a fun stretch drive for the Calder.

haters are going to hate. When Barzal starts facing competition like Doughty every night like Boeser does instead of the second pairing, come back and we'll talk. Till then, he's lucky JT is taking the tough assignments.

First of all, the fans voted for Brock. You may get a thousand different answers if you really want to know but I suspect that because this is a skills driven event, and they saw Brock win his event and break the target with his elite shot that came as advertised,,,, then brings it into the game and gets the game winner with a laser in his 2 goals and an assist effort, it most likely stole the focus from someone like Kuchie or Doubty who also was having a very good game and fans have seen it all before... not much to get excited about I assume.

Do you have a theory on why they were impressed with Brock?

Yeah they're different players both good young talents. Brock seems like a good kid on top of it.

I haven't formed any theories yet you'll be the first to know when I do.

Agreed. Especially fun for us here in Vancouver as Barzal's a local kid. Won't be long before he's signing here at a hometown discount to help the Canucks win the cup.

I was half-heartedly wishing the Canucks would claim Jagr and play him for exactly 24 games.

NHL Games Played Leaders

1 Gordie Howe 1,767
2 Mark Messier 1,756

All of Vancouver is slurping Brock today. I guess that is what happens when there is little else to cheer for. I hope the kid doesn't believe the clippings or he may start trying to walk on water.

Matthews looked a little butt hurt that no one was talking about him.

As a Canuck fan we are always waiting for someone to pull the carpet from under our feet . Bo and Brock look like the carpet pulling wont happen. Sven is starting to look like a second liner. Let's see how Gaudette and Pettersson work out but we may have an actual top 6 soon

I think Lind is only 2 seasons away as well. His play making skills look to be top 6.
