So does q scratch Sharp, bouma, Rutta again? I would guess Bouma and Rutta yes and 50/50 on Sharp or Wingels. I would stick with wingels. Also for forsburgs last 5 games only had 1 bad game. the other 4 he has given up 2 goals or less and has a .926 save in his last 5 games. - kmw4631
Sharp and Bouma on the outside in practice. |

What about that Sinkula guy? Heard he was supposed to be really good, and tough! - BlazinMike
I heard he'll be Crosby 2.0. |

I bet that Q is thinking how to get Rutta back in without Forsling. Rutta was a Q favorite earlier this season |

CrosDavid is the moniker i heard used to describe him, but with the toughness of Lucic. |

I'm not saying the Hawks will fire Q, but let's imagine they did fire him today.
Which team would pick him up as a coach? My guesses would be one of these 3.
Florida
Arizona
Vancouver - breadbag
I would almost bet dollars to donuts NYR would fire AV in favor of a shot at Quenneville. He has just been treading water there the last couple of years |

Bowman would be prudent to watch him here NHL then trade a top skip guy right near the entry draft. No major trade now or trade deadline.
No need to entice any collegiate players, either, as they would need AHL time for sure. Mitchell is too weak now strength wise to survive a longer pro schedule. I really hope both Dahlstrom and Snuggerud get a look in late March may be five games to give us and thrm.a clear idea what they need to specifically improve upon. They have the summer for training too. |

I had heard from a friend of mine that is a New York Ranger season ticket holder for almost as long as I’ve been a BLACKHAWKS season ticket holder since the mid-70s, “the Rangers are watching this situation here unfold from behind the scenes, if Quennville was to become available I am sure the Rangers would accommodate him in a heartbeat no matter what the financial terms would be. So I would have to say it sounds to me like the Rangers would launch their coach immediately and find a way to hire Joel. But all the speculation McDonagh came out about two weeks ago on WGN a.m. 720 and said the general manager and coach are going nowhere. So I’m sure they have their plan in place for all different types of scenarios. They are not going to just sit and die up to the trade deadline.Said it before and I’ll say it again if the right situation happens were Stan can improve the Team. Beyond this year , With a certain move he will do it. Now that doesn’t mean that someone of significance can’t be dealt the day of the draft if they have a sure fire way to draft a kid like Brady Tkachuk ,But you have to look who the potential bottom three teams are going to be, and is there a match for any of the Blackhawks players to waive their no trade to go to that said team. Whatever the case may be it has to be ultra creative. I bet they get hot as a firecracker and get in someway, and Stan will make an addition by the trade deadline without being stupid. |

The GM hasn't done tiddlywinks to improve that team in two years. Two young studs they thought in Stepan and Kreider. Some defensemen loosing their effectiveness? Girardi gone. Staal the same after concussions? Blow it up and consider moving McDonough. Right, Skeji plays defense with ghosts. I would take time to study where to go if I were Q. Oh btw I still am covinced that Q has to update some of his coaching ideas/strategy. But it is a difficult situation in Chicago and a rebuild will make his hair fall out. Thank goodness he can't loose the stash, right! LATE: Some flexibilty with Nash at much less $$$ Or GONE. |

I'm the snowflake? It's a running joke with BlazinMike and a couple of us as some guy always said Sinkula and it drove him and I mad, but thanks for playing, buddy.
That one comment I made was certainly "crying a river." |

Hey if I didn't say sorry, this is officially sorry about the sic on Sincula (sic Sikura) I've got it right now. I practiced typing it correct too. Looking forward to his arrival and you all have good thought and points. |

It was just a joke. I didn't even remember who it was. Just that a couple of us posted it almost simultaneously. |

Question: What was the purpose of changing the official name of the team to Blackhawks in 1986, from Black Hawks previously? - Katana777
If I remember correctly, the team found original franchise documents that spelled the name of the team "Blackhawks," so the dropped the space to match those. |

What doess this board think about having a tough guy who can fight on a wing UNTIL Stan brings in more power forward or grit and sandpaper players. Maybe on the cheap. Does Martinsen qualify? Justin can you provide enlightenment about Martinsen. Btw is Raddysh a good prospect. That a radish in a salad spelled differently! |

‘‘It’ll be nice to flip the switch here,’’ Kane said. ‘‘We know what we’re playing for the rest of the season — to try to get ourselves in the playoffs.’’
Quick, where is that light switch GIF?
They need to flip the switch, turn the dial to 11 and put the pedal to the floor simultaneously!

Right, we're paying him based on his past performance. Are you saying two 5.1 million dollar players can't put up his point totals and defend against other teams's top lines? Please. Bringing Saad back was supposed to be the cure all since he couldn't play with Panik. Now that that's not working out, we clearly see Toews needs other people to make him better . Kanes does not and is worth every penny of that 10.5 Mil. AND Seabrook took a seat, why can't Toews? I think MGMT needs to stop coddling the "CORE". - Murph76

Does the team really need a tough guy who can fight? We don't need another Mashinter playing 5 minutes per night. |

I say tank. Climb up the draft ladder as high as possible, and use the rest of this year to decide who stays and who is expendable.
There are no high impact pending UFAs worth moving anything valuable for, and anyone the Hawks might want to move will likely result in equal return in the way of bad contract coming back.
Vegas/Tampa final this year.
