Realistically, if the twins will only play for van and no other team, and management is going to re-sign them if they want to play(even though none of us want them to). Then we should low ball them and tell them to take it or retire. If they then choose to sign somewhere else, then (frank) them and (frank) retiring their jerseys.

You're right. It's paid by the team, not the league. If the league awards a bonus for the ASG MVP as well, then that money is cap-free.

I found it to be hypocritical of our good friend Bettman to be concerned about player safety during a player strddling the blue line and maybe raising the one leg and another player getting cut from the skate and then that happens.
The guy is a complete effen douche.
