I really think if he felt that way he would of never bounced line up ideas over with Scotty every year they've been in the playoffs? This is a fact btw something Q has casually mentioned in interviews - BetweenTheDots
Right I heard it a bit different on HNC ,more like Scotty was telling Joel different line combinations . There are two sides to every story and a awful thin line there .Seems like after the pay raise coach Q got ( more then Stan and Scotty combined I would think ) his ego went up ,he did not need the advice anymore . And now his record has gone down. Maybe there was someone behind the curtain the whole time .. |

A better chance that Crawford comes back and needs 10 games to get back into good game conditioning and get back his timing and control.
IF he gets his pre-injury quality play back this year at all - he really wasn’t the same / as good last year after his appendectomy as he was before it. |

Hell I would of fired him for trading Seguin away to.
Bruins are pretenders this year - BetweenTheDots
Seguin was traded by Chareli & the previous management group
Bruins are contenders |

I also think the great divide is Bowman does his best to get guys to help the team, and coach Q coaches the team and really doesn't pick favourites, which in the long run is good for the team, example would be Vermette, he got the press box treatment with Q and in the long run the Blackhawks win the SC and Vermette was a key contributor. - BetweenTheDots

My gosh and spelling was about the only class that I never studied. Although auto correct is a b*tch too.
If Bowman is smart he signs that guy Sikura INSOFAR AS someone would become a trade chip later on.
Imagine misspelling all time great LW Bobby Hill all the time! - jhawk59

Hahaha, its true Q does have his favorites, but when it comes to Stan telling him who to play, unless it's to feature someone to trade, its not happening. |

Right? And they were managed by that group when they won the cup?
I wouldn't put my money on them this year. |

Lazarus is a Hawks' lackey so the omission of the fact that not only the Coach was fired but the GM as well in all 3 situations tells me that Bowman's job is (wrongfully IMO) safe, but Q will get the axe this summer. Just my assumption, and I hope I'm wrong. I think the best thing for this franchise is, as you said, new management (coach + GM) with no loyalties or biases in making tough decisions on roster/lineup moves/trades to get this team back into contention sooner rather than later. - EnzoD
It's easy to argue both sides of what really is a conundrum. Q is Q the 2nd most ever NHL wins. StanBow did enough to see thru 2 more cups.
But you have to have the GM and coach on the same page especially during a retool or rebuild. So many bad habits can happen when inside the same bubble for 7-8-9 yrs, and the loyalties/biases/frustrations that occur, that it's easier to argue fresh eyes in some form makes sense.
I'm neutral except to say I like the idea of a fresh look at old problems in some fashion........... The cupboard is not bare. A couple of the right personnel moves, the reasonable development of the younger players and the right move to clear some salary (I know that one ain't easy) and the Hawks are close.

Jaromir Jagr placed on waivers. Would he be a good fit here? Not advocating just throwing it out there for discussion. |

That would be good if we were putting in over 40 no check team together at Johnny’s icehouse, I am also hearing that they are looking at signing Jerome Iginla once the Olympics are over, They will be watching how he does in the games, can anybody check out the validity of that? Or was that just some concourse talk over some beers at the last Blackhawk home game. |

I bet at least one of them doesn't know anything about hockey but the other knows a whole hill full of beans about the cold steel on ice |

The All Star game a snooze fest so far. I get that they don't want to go 100% but that was like 25% effort and not very entertaining at all. |

Flipping through the channels this afternoon and ran across the NHL all-star game. Watched fir a few minutes. Couldn’t take any more than that. What kind of marketing genius decided you’ll one of the teams in white jerseys and white pants? You can’t see the definition of the players against the ice!! What a bush league move. |

Much more entertaining 2nd game. How does Carey Price make the All Star Game with a .905 save %, 3.05 GAA and a losing record? |

Indeed. Eichel+ Matthews together are unstoppable. Seeing all this talent really makes no NHL players at the Olympics frustrating. Team USA would've had possibly their most talented roster ever...Kane, Matthews, Eichel, Gaudreau is some high end offensive firepower. |

Well Stan needs to tell Q that he is showcasing a player for a trade when he wants to see them play. That is Stans mistake as by now he should know better and obviously he does not as Jurco never saw the ice until after a few games. |

April Fools.
Actually Crawford not likerly in game condition for a few games anywa y.
We could dream playoffs but would not be fully cognizant
Maybe it is in this state of euphoria we can feel good. You might imagine Bill White, Pat Stapleton, Doug Wilson manning the defense |
