Any comes to.mind high end prospect - Scott1977
Kapanen, Dermott, and a 1st would be a good deal. Leafs 1st rounder will be early to mid 20,s pick this year. |

Other's can chime in as the only "prospects" I'm familiar with are the untouchables Nylander, Marner, Liljegren, Matthews, and Reilly. |

While I like Kreider as well, there's NO WAY you can take Debrincat off LW. That is where he'll score 20 to 30 a year regardless of his size. Q has screwed that up for most of the year playing him at RW......that's typical Quenneville.
Play your players to THEIR strengths, not to where the deficiencies are.....ie also Hjalmarsson for years, now Oesterle on his wrong side, Murphy at times, etc. Yet everybody biches at our pourous D.
I'm still blaming Quenneville on this year's miss of the playoffs, if that is the end result. I don't care if he's a Hall of Fame coach or not, it's his team and his responsibility to put the pieces in place to win....PERIOD. - Hawkytalk
You nailed some things right on the head. DeBrincat should have started on his off-wing LW as soon as he reached the Hawks and should have stayed there. You build lines around him. Q was idiotic playing him on RW. Also I despise it when Q plays D-Men on their off-wings - it is so stupid as it forces the player to play backwards. Can’t move the puck in their own end except on the anemic backhand and can’t keep the puck in at other blue- line. There is a reason Babcock would only allow the Canadian Olympic D-Men to play their natural sides. |

Then package our teo first rounders this year and trade them to move up in the draft to get Tkachuk. |

Hawks would likely have to add a player like Vinny with the two first rounders in order to move up in the draft. |

Is this another one of Keith’s kids? If he is as good as his brother Matthew if it indeed is a relation, yes that is exactly the kind of player we need enough of these little poops |

He is indeed another son. He plays a mean game. Exactly what we need up front. A big mean power forward that plays centre. |

He's supposed to be better significantly than Matthew Tzchuck. |

Matthew isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Hopefully his kid brother is all he's pumped up to be. |

Like I said in the other blog, draft him just so we could see Mr. Marshmallow's face as his son pulls the Indianhead jersey over his head. |

lol he's a pipe dream but if the Hawks sell Anisimov and Keith, a top 3 pick might be possible |

I don’t know who has traded draft picks, but seems to me that only an upper level team would trade for Keith and/or Anisimov, not one likely to have a top-3 pick. |

I meant that they would lose most of the rest of their games without Keith and may earn a Top 3 pick in the lottery. Tzchuck won't last past #3 in most mock drafts. There's a big Russian scorer also projected in the 2-4 range. |

Unlikely. I’m the past 10 years a top 5 draft pick was traded only twice. Once was the 5th overall for the 7th overall (plus). The other was Toronto acquiring Kessel, when he was much younger. Keith and Anisimov are not the type of assets a team drafting in the top 3 or 5 would want. |

The hawks wanted the old man and made an offer he wanted to accept. But the original Winnipeg jets matched the offer. Something like 6 million way back then. |

The Hawks need to ditch the "One Goal" mantra, now it's "Don't shoot the puck, we need tkachuk" |
|

Sure, I can see him as a fit there.
What if GMJR put such a priority on finding that 3C for a playoff that they asked for Anisimov and AA agreed to waive his NTC for Pitt.
Would you do:
CHI: Anisimov, Kempny
for
PIT: Olli Maatta, Bryan Rust - Justin Lowe
I was thinking more like draft picks and prospects, Rust is nice but we have a ton of bottom 6 guys.
Maata isn't bad but at $4 million per that's to expensive for a stay at home defenseman, we had one of those remember and we traded him to Arizona |

If Ottawa doesn't plan on signing Karlsson, they might want to replace him with a Norris trophy winning defenseman by the name of Duncan Keith. Ottawa might end up with a top 3 pick, and that trade would blow the roof off of the AA center. |

As much as all this " seller" speculation bull crap that has been floated out there recently, I don't believe for 1minute that this Mc D led management group will throw the towel in on this or any season, It's not in that mans DNA. I would bet Stan is workin the phones pretty hard during this break. I bet he makes a couple of trades in the next 2-3 weeks. |

If they're buyers, management will set this franchise back another 3 years, they can't afford to give up anymore assets for rentals.
Ask Jim Hendry how that worked out for him

If any trades are made , they won't be rentals, they'll be with the mind set of having the player past this year . Otherwise they may just Stand pat. Is any of this Kieth to Toronto talk legit? Or is it just a bunch of Ducks fartin in shallow water. If it is true, Stan better get atleast 2 of those high end kids not named Austin Mathews as part of the return. |
