I've compared Gudbranson to Radko Gudas before, with a little less douchiness. Personally I'd rather trade him for a second and third round pick and be done with him, I always hated that trade....always!
I'd like them to trade Sutter and open up that third line center spot for Gaudette, sign a free agent center for the second line and continue developing the kids. - LeftCoaster

Baertschi Horvat Boeser
Grabner Gaudette Pettersson
Grandlund Sutter Virtanen - LeftCoaster
That is a lot of goal scorer's and zero playmakers on that 3rd line.
This team probably needs another playmaker. Joe Veleno with another mid 1st round pick?
I still like Sutter as the "4th" line shutdown center. He just needs some proper more experienced line mates. That can produce some offence, so not Gaunce.
Scottie Upshall has 15 points. Scott Hartnell has 11 points!!! |

As much as people hate them Canucks are better with Sutter and Gudbrandson. EG is not worth the money and you can get that type of play from a guy much cheaper. |

Role players on a more established team. I say EG signs at a reasonable rate. Let them grow with the younger players while the team finishes at the bottom. |

The thing about EG as Dave Tomlinson pointed out has played less than half of the games of his schedule since he has been here. Also I can only recall 2 or 3 fights. I believe there are better options
I think Ben Hutton has had as many fights in the last two years |

I was just having some fun but it really depends on what you want out of your third line. Most teams just want a third line that's defensively responsible and chips in occasionally with some offense.
Personally I don't mind Sutter in that role but he's so soft, need a couple bangers who can wear the other team down, score on occasion and skate. Can be PK guys too. |

Canucks would be fine finishing near the bottom without either of them. I'd rather Henrik as a third line center than Sutter, at least he can score PP points. |

I agree Sutter Archibald and Jake and turn them into a banging attack line . Keep the puck in the other end line |

5M+ is probably what he'll get, for a 3rd liner? X3 with NTC |

JV can't even get the puck into the other teams end. Gets to the blue line and makes back or lateral passes to the other team. |

I think it is important to shelter our young players to finish bottom 5 . Very important indeed |

Francis reports that Backlund is seeking a deal between $5MM and $6MM per year on a five or six-year contract, money that would come close to the pact that Kyle Turris signed upon being traded to Nashville (six years, $36MM). |

I'd love to see them sign Gaudette and him have as much instant success as Boeser! Pettersson on his wing might be a great second line? |

He probably should be in Utica playing regularly and learning to be more consistent. Van's season is done. Why try and ruin him even more. |

We don't know who else can get them some points on PP, because it is always Sedin Sedin Edler out on the ice for at least 3/4 of the time and that trend will continue while they are here.
The great Buffalo Sabres really exposed our slow older players last game.
Can we just move to the 2019 -2020 season, another painful year will be avoided.😀 |
