The only hockey game on TV is UND vs Minnesota.

Last time I was in the area for an event I went to Devil's Elbow, a BBQ joint by the skytrain station

Canucks director of player development Ryan Johnson is high on the 1st defenseman taken in the 2017 NHL Draft Jack Rathbone who plays at Dexter Southfield in Boston, "Jack is today's style D-man as he moves puck, skates very well and has some bite to him."

I would suggest skipping the Fatburger and Ricky's. Those restaurants suck and the last time I went there before a game I got sick.

Looked pretty good offensively in rookie camp scrimmage, but struggled defensively.

3 series are so played out now, you see one in every street of Vancouver

They are a nice, middle of the road car. Navigation, back up camera, comfortable, decent power and great AWD! That's all I need. Anything fancier and I'll lose my license.

Ricky’s is pure trash, no idea how they’re still in business as a restaurant. Good location choices I guess.

Of course he struggled. He went from playing highschool to battling against kids with pro experience and higher pedigree! Kid will be interesting to follow.

They’re solid cars, but I’d rather get something that’s not as common in that price range.

Really enjoyed watching Rathbone play. You can see where the Keith comparison comes from as Jack's an excellent skater, plays with an edge, & has offensive pop.

Yeah he has a long way to go. I hope he grows an inch or two also. He's a tad small for a D. 5'10" 165 lbs is the last I saw him listed at.

If he is today's style defenseman and we got him in mid rounds, I sure hope we don't waste a pick with our first on "today's style" on Hughes, Merkley or for that matter Boqvist.
Incidentally, Rathbone is the only pick I have gotten right in the last 10 years, so I will be cheering extra hard for him to make it.😁

Devils Elbow had good food and wasnt so busy at around 5. I went to Back Forty before the All Blacks across from Terry Fox statue and it was packed from like 2PM until we went over.

Central City has a brewhouse across from BC Place as well, havent been to that location but the one in Surrey has decent food. There are a few options but the further away, the less hectic

Got too watch some of the practises for our men's and women's National rugby teams, on a recent visit to Langford. Some very impressive looking athletes.

Boqvist is going to be real good.

I'd only ever chosen the first round till 2 years ago.
Gaunce, Jensen, Virtanen.

Then OJ, Candella, Stukel. Pettersson, Lind, Gad.

Those impressive looking Men just lost 52-5 against Scotland in the 7's in Sydney, but the Women went 3-0 on day one.

Not sure how humungous replied, but it's also worth noting that Button made some of the most "hee-haw" worthy donkey GM trades while managing the Flames.

Here's a list of guys he dealt away for SFA:
J.S. Giguere
Marty St.Louis
Rob Niedemeyer
Marc Savard

He did pick up:
Ference
McCammond
Yelle
Drury

Does that seem like the players "largely responsable" for a cup run though?

Ouch.
Meant more along the lines of physical specimens.😀Some of them had thighs thicker than many people's chest size.
