JP has some work ahead of him yes but the signs are showing now. On pace for over 20 goals in EDM and we need some youth and scoring.

Tanner's trade value is dropping rapidly due to his injury status and the fact that he will never play a full season in the NHL...ever. I'll take JP's 20 goals right now over the 40 healthy games that Tanev plays anyday.

Tanev and Eriksson for Drai? We'd probably have to take another player off their hands for cap reasons... but better do it before they fire Chiarelli and hire someone competent

Having said that, i still think there's a team out there that would give a 2nd for him. Penguins possibly?

Assuming EG and Vanek is moved. Although I don't think TG is a Hutton fan either. I can see him being moved in the off season. Especially if the Canucks land 1OA (ya right) and OJ makes the team.

The EG trade had to be based on the hope that he would develop into a more complete D man ...to acquire a D man who did what EG had done so far shouldn’t have cost that much
