No - that is his current ranking. He has Pettersson at 10 and Demko as the fith best goalie as of 2 weeks ago. He is a biased hack with no credibitliy.

Edit: you did say pre or post. He is still trash!

I'll put my faith in Brackett, Benning and Co anyways. I won't make a pick this year because i'm always wrong anyway. I hope we get the dude from Penticton though.

Vanek was interviewed recently and said he is sick of being dealt at TDL and doesn't want to leave...Guddy on the other hand will most likely sign with a different club so may as well get assets for him now.
- LordHumungous

Who cares what he’s sick of. If it was that important to him, he should have signed for less $ and negotiated a NTC, probably with a different team, like Chicago or something.

I did say "post draft rankings". The guy acknowledged that Vilardi is slow and hasnt played much this year but still believes in his skill/vision to come through. He frequently mentioned that some players are just his guys and will sink or swim supporting them. I think he'll be wrong to have Vilardi that high, but I dont think his goalie rankings were wrong.

For every list that Pronman, Bob Mac, Button, ISS, etc. produce, there will be players over ranked and under ranked

- WhiteLie

He is a nobody...Mackenzie produces the best list (clearly). Button is mental but I appreciate how much time he actually spends scouting. ISS is also a gutless ranking system.

Pretty sure posting quotes from behind a paywall is against the rules...

Pretty upsetting seeing as Whitey is supposed to be here to protect us and keep order.

I have only seen a few highlights of this kid, so can't give too much of an opinion on him. On those highlights I did see, he had nice offensive skill, but, was a tire fire defensively. Not sure that is what I want as a high pick for a defenseman.
Bouchard looks better every time I see him.
Also, isn't he the kid that Juolevi was mentoring last season and helped him with his game. Could be a very nice fit with the 2 of them.
Kevin Bahl in 2nd round❤

- Reubenkincade

Button has Boqvist as an Erik Karlsson clone. Ill take that any day. I like Bouchard has been impressive. Seems a bit casual almost OJ like. I think I might prefer someone a bit of a different style since I see there games are similiar.

Bob does a meta-list, which means averaging all the scouting lists he considers legit. ISS is on that list, so bit of a weird thing to say. Why do you not like the ISS?

Isn't Bob's list primarily a consensus of like 10 scout's lists? A consolidated list is nice occasionally, but I'd rather Bob show the individual lists because to me a difference of opinion has information worth considering

Yes, I know Bob puts no actual thought into it. He picks up the phone and calls teams scouts but that is why it's the only list that is accurate. I just don't like lists that split NA and Euro prospects.

I agree I'd rather see the individual rankings but scouts won't share information if he leaks teams draft lists. I wish!

It's a meta-list. He makes judgement calls in certain area's. For example, Merkely is way down on the central scouting list. Bottom-line though is that Bob's list usually ends up being one of the better if not the best every year.

But there's scouts that only scout in NA and scouts that only scout europe, and very few (probably none) that do both. I'm not sure I get your criticism.

Only one guy with Boquist in the top 5 and it's at pick 5. safe to say his stock has dropped.

I'd prefer Bouchard to Boquist. Right shot D with size, a great shot and he is offensivley minded. Exactly what we need

Pronman? The same guy that has Demko as the 5th best goalie prospect and and Vilardi above Petterson (No10)? He has no credibility.
- CanuckDon

He does have some different rankings. Most of which are based on his previous of skill I believe. I haven't seen him ever talk much about intangibles.

Did you just find an article from 2005? about a draft in 2000? 18 years ago?

I'm not a Button fan. I just see what Button is saying.

Wait a second, are you saying a professional scout is not very good?

If your picking a player with "size" over Boqvist, I would prefer someone who uses that size. Dobson over Bouchard.
