Rather than the scoring stats I'd prefer to see the number of missed opportunities that resulted in nothing. So many glorious chances and nobody finishes - Saad, Schmaltz, Duclair, Debrincat, Toews. Probably 20 goals missed in the last couple of weeks.

If the Hawks lose this game it won't be for lack of chances.

The ref’s performance should be graded and assignments — and salary increases — should be based on that. The bigger problem is that the officiating is not one if the game’s strong points.

As much as I feel this was the ref’s mistake, it should not have led to the goal.

I accept fancy stats but get a kind of perverse pleasure when they are shown to be misleading. Of course there are probably 62 other fancy stats to show why the Ozone stat is flawed.

This team seems so mentally fragile. One bad break/play a game seems to suck the life out of them. This, more than the physical decline, is what really hurts them.

Announcers now talking about how fiat the players are with no discussion or urgency on the bench. They really need someone to tell them to get their heads out of their rear view mirrors and start playing with passion. Would really help if someone could show them what they need to do. They are not getting it from the captain and the alternates.

Why does every pass we make have to be the most difficult play available? Jeebus, 1) skate at net. 2) put puck on net. Rinse repeat.

Lot to like about Glass but his recovery and up and down time is slooow. Stumbly and sometimes looks like he has two left feet.

That was a bs call, the player turned into him. A player skating out of control does not have position.

Poor Seabs even falls down slow...... The C position with Toews-Schmaltz-AA-Kampf looks great on paper.

Just throw it too the front of the net, good things happen, it was a nice easy wrist shot so the puck stayed around the front of the net
