Interesting way to look at it

We do need guys that play hard every night too though
But that’s probably easier to find than a sniper who can get 30+

Al right...
I’m out on Tkachuk

I want either Zadina or Svechnikov if we don’t win the lotto

But damn...
with this defense we REALLY need to win this lotto

At world Jrs, I was all for Tk, it was all I have to evaluate though. Your comparison to Crouse scares me and the history of getting the younger brother that isn't as good, I'll say sucks, is in the back of my mind for better or worse.

you'd be looking for a GM who's really desperate...like job on the line desperate whose team just can't score.

Off the top of my head I don't know any

Hard to say, thought the isles might be at the start of the year but Barzal has really stepped up for them.

if you retained salary maybe the ducks? they dont like to give up their young d-men but might be desperate enough to move an unprotected first. Just not sure they'd do it for kane.

That was someone else...

I’ve loved watching Tkachuk play
But the thing is,
he seems to score based off his effort more than his talent if that makes sense

I’m just worried that his scoring won’t translate to the NHL & he will be more like Foligno than Kane

If we take a forward in this draft,
he really needs to be a legit scorer for us

Hockey family bloodlines don't seem to work - see Strome brothers, Nylander brothers, Reinhart brothers, etc. Stay away from Tkachuk if given the chance to draft him or one of the Euro's. I would rather have the Czech or Russian than Matthew Tkachuk. With out luck, we would draft Tkachuk and he would become our Keith Gretzky.

he is on pace for 17 or 18 goals

IMO he is not close to a whipping boy as most expected 3rd line production

Why on earth Cal Petersen pick LA is beyond me?

He could be our starter next year
When is he gonna get a chance to take over for Quick?

Well I will sort of die on this hill.

Their numbers WERE comparable last year

But yes, I was wrong, he is bad

- jcragcrumple

Rask is better, no doubt. However, put Rask on this team and he's pretty dogpoop too.

He’s only scored like twice since that really hot start though

But taking on Pommer was more to get a cheaper price on Scandella than it was expecting him to be a top6 winger

He’s not hurting us
Just hasn’t helped much since around game15

I remember getting scolded and told that I wasn’t a real fan because I stopped watching this team. What a waste of a Saturday.

I haven’t paid much attn other than just looking at his numbers

He’d certainly have gotten a chance to start here before LA though

Somewhere like NyR would’ve been a better pick for him
Or Florida, Calgary, etc etc
