I think if you are talking about a trade proposal for OEL, you have to start with what Rangers paid for Yandle or Capitals for Shattenkirk, both of which were older and were in the last year of their contract (which OEL isn't).

Shattenkirk Trade - Kevin Shattenkirk and goaltender Pheonix Copley from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for forwards Zach Sanford and Brad Malone, the Capitals’ first-round selection in the 2017 NHL Draft and a conditional draft pick(s).

Yandle Trade - Keith Yandle, Chris Summers, and a fourth round pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for John Moore, Anthony Duclair, a second round pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, and a conditional first round pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Someone along the lines of Jussi Jokinen?
- Cptmjl

I wanted him too but the guy was flat-out dumped by the Kings, he's not exactly Patrice Bergeron.

I think you'd have to add significantly more to get OEL, he is a bonafide top pairing defenseman. Those other two guys are good players, but they're complimentary pieces.

Yeah I know just (frank)ing around but it was still crazy he didn't grab him under the circumstances and our complete lack of anyone good in our bottom 6. He could've potentially helped and if he didn't it wouldn't have been am issue. Would've cost nothing to find out.

Snow needs to be removed. He’s been allowed to botch draft pick after draft pick. Made far too many questionable moves. And constantly sits on his hands when this organization needs him most. This team clearly has poor personnel on defense and in net. And he’s done nothing to address it. If there was a huge dead piece available like Brian Strait, Garth would be all over it.

Definitely. You start with D prospects like Pulock or Toews, Nelson, 1st and 2nd. Maybe Soryokin or Soderstrom.

Nah, but I did initially make the same mistake as Cpt. in deciphering your post. I wasn't sure what you were going for at first.

Compared to our centers defensively and at the dot I would beg to differ.

No worries though once Baileys back Quine can go back to being that reliable shutdown centerman again.

He's already been cloned. They were given different names though so that Snow doesn't confuse himself. He named them Prince/Gionta/Bernier.

So we complain about goal tending and we are gonna throw in a young tender? Halak will not be back I'm thinking Soderstrom is between the pipes next year.

If we go into next year with soderstrom and Greiss as our goaltenders it would be pretty stupid. Yep pretty dumb so totally believable.

Boychuk and Ladd on the ice before #Isles AM skate.

Sounds like Bailey is back tonight

Activate sequence Quine, "Fourth Line" Alan
