People on here referring to Hawks as DLine sellers
Who would they be selling?
Be careful what you wish for. Most of this Board considered Crawford over paid two years ago and now he’s our MVP - Colbyboy
The only guys we could sell would be Keith and AA. Maybe Sharp or Wingels if sharp wanted to waive. Seabs would be to tough to sell at this point IMO. the real 1st time would could move Seabs is after his 4th year. After july 1 he would only be owed 16.5 Mil over 4 years. So if a team is not a cap team and he is still AVG. you might find a taker. |

I agree about Forsberg - but if they’re going to hope for positive results the rest of the season, they’re going to have to do a much better 5-skater job oprotecting him than they generally have - suppressing shots and stopping more shots from getting to the net - fewer shots on the slot.... - StLBravesFan

Listen....Crow has been outstanding this year, but, I don't think if he's out the remainder of the season that it's a death sentence for the Hawks.
The goaltending is not the issue. It's the five guys in front of whoever is in the blue paint.
If they can tighten it up there and actually score, Glass and Forsberg will be very serviceable.

I tend to agree. The skaters can do a lot to protect the goalie. I think the Hawks have what they need to make the playoffs if the players play to their potential, despite their borderline status. I am not sure how far they will go, and, at this point, I am generally against "trading the farm" to take a chance on a game-breaking player (unless his name is John Tavares) just to make the playoffs.
No need to sell players either (yet). However, they have a few players some teams might want: a healthy Anisimov; Bouma; Wingels (not available if I were Stan); Jurco, some of the young defensemen (Pokka, Gus, etc. for someone else's depth). Load up on draft picks in return if the team should fall out of playoff contention. |

And apparently that one is not true either...
@therinkoffical
Elloitte Friedman says Crawford will be back and now Laz says possibly not because of "vertigo" symptoms. Sounds like a smokescreen they had 3 weeks to get in front of, and suddenly there are sources? - riozzo

Let the speculation begin, Corey Crawford will wind up going on LTIR, they will trade for Glenn Anderson, to finish out the rest of the season. Then in the summer it will be a hockey trade, Corey Crawford for Carey Price And I am sure some money will change hands in some form or another to even out.
If there is any truth to Cory missed behaving again, then I think in the combination of the Grant Park incident, last year‘s little deal, and if there was any mischievous behavior during the Christmas break this year, I think that the BLACKHAWKS have seen enough and who knows maybe A little change of scenery may be in order. Personally, I like Corey Crawford and I hope whatever it is going on and get straightened out. |

I was about to say the same. If our guys do not score any goals, it does not matter who is in the net. |

I never saw Friedman saying he'd be back or Laz saying it wasn't vertigo. Not sure what they are on to there.

I think he was pretty clear, man...The Hawks are going to trade Crow for retired Winger, Glenn Anderson.
