I think it's a bit of a grey area. The term "black quarterback" isn't used much anymore. Most black quarterbacks are now refered to as "mobile quarterbacks," and there's an understanding what that means. Mobile QBs aren't protected like pocket passers, that's just a fact

The rules are set up to protect prototypical, usually white quarterbacks like Tom Brady who stay in the pocket. Mobile QBs (who tend to be black) simply aren't given the same protections on hits and such. I'm not saying that has to be racism, but the difference is there in who the rules benefit.

Why should the rules benefit players who can't avoid a big hit in the pocket because they're slow and stationary, but not a guy who moves around?

There's so many things like that. Taylor gets punched in the head TWICE in the miami games (once by Suh, once by wake) and the refs don't look for it. When Brady is at the bottom of the pile, the eyes are on him.

Tyrod gets pushed after running out of bounds, but he's a great athlete and doesn't fall down, no penalty. I'm not saying he should dive, but the rules just benefit the QBs who don't move, and like everything else in life, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and Tom Brady b*tches constantly

The Bills are trying to get Cam Newton with Tyrod Taylor and it's not working. If Tyrod would throw the ball more down field and his passes where on target maybe we would have that. Tyrod can run, no question about it and has the skill level but his decisions are very questionable.
