We got Hainsey through UFA when it was too pricey to get a big fish. He's done more than expected and kills all of the penalties(he has more PK ice time than any player in the NHL and the Leafs actually have a good PK). Hainsey wasn't what we were looking for, but since we didn't have to give up anything to get him it was a nice pickup.

I'd pickup Gudbranson for free or some mid/late round pick and a B grade prospect, but I wouldn't trade anything valuable for a player like that.

believe me, I know the feeling, it was only two seasons ago where I was watching Toronto Marlies and London Knights(Marner's year of dominance) instead of watching the Leafs.

We had no scorers. Once we let in the first goal it was over. I think most of the canadian teams are on the rise with some nice young pieces after years of not being contenders. Gonna be some good rivalries and hate coming along
