I think they picked up niemi to give lindgren more starts (laval) when price was healthy. Not sure who they play tonight. Might be good to play niemi against one of the weaker west coast teams tho.

The only reason they should be is if the offers are real good. I know he's not fantastic now. Probably currently overpaid. He was a 5th round pick. Who could have used AHL seasoning. Still very inexperienced.

According to murph. Nothing broken on tanev but will have some reconstructive dental surgery on gums. Tanev has opted to miss tonight, but play the next 3 games before having the surgery in the bye week.

From what I remember, he said something like “I’ll play the guys who got us into the playoffs” and Hutton was next man up if an injury occurred.

And people here laugh when someone says throwing in late round picks in trades is not a good idea for a team like the Canucks. Every pick is a lottery ticket.
