That was Liljigren coughing up the puck.
Couldn’t get it in deep. Dumb play. |

Sens are 2 pts behind Canucks and they played one less game |

I'll take the win. Fun game, very entertaining!!
A little underwhelmed by the performance of our prospects, in this one. |

Yes he lost puck in rush in the Ozone... didn't clear Dahlin on his part at blue line though that led to empty netter |

So... half a season to go...teams go up and down... given circumstances of Canucks they are in a down cycle. |

Sure does cuz Liljegrin blew it. He trapped the rush by himself. |

It was a tight game offensively. EP had some chances made plays. But EP was very impressive in his own zone. You like to see how responsible he was and how he moved the puck. For a skill guy that tips how closer they are ready to playing in the NHL.
Gadjo was marginalized as net front guy when Batheson broke out with goals. Wasn't his night. But that's fine. His expectation of progress is a couple years in AHL. |

Andersson is understandably upset and throws his medal into the crowd before getting it back and breaking into tears. Meanwhile EP is at the front of the handshake line for Sweden, difference in maturity. |

Well alrighty then,
I have really pulled back on posting here lately, but I still read all the posts in Carols blog.
After reading days and days, or should I say week upon week of, Sedins, Benning, Chaput, Sedins, Linden, Benning, Sedins, draft, NHL development, Sedins, Benning, goats, etc. I just thought I'd throw out my thoughts on what I think would be a good system to make the Canucks contenders and not mediocre in a few years.
I didn't think I was , but whatever floats the boat I guess. - Makita
You said "sell everyone" but Brock and Bo. That sounds a bit IMO.
The Canucks this year healthy I think would be mediocre. The injuries I think are a blessing to put us near the bottom of the table. They weren't going to contend this season, at the same time they weren't bad enough through the first 30 games to end up with a top 5 pick. |

Lol yeah like zero chance Canucks make playoffs. So don’t worry they will have a ticket to the lotto. The season for me has always been about development and establishing a better system. BB most notable progress there. Never doubted Canuck crack at lotto pick among the bottom 15. - Nuck4U
After the WJC I really can't bear the thought of dropping out of the top 5 in this draft. Dahlin, Svechnikov, Tkachuk, Zadina, and Boqvist are all going to be really good. After that there is a bit off a drop off in talent as per usual. |

Awesome to win one of them players. They will get a chance at that lotto. But if they don’t win which is more probable that second tier with D like Dobson and Bouchard will be great too. |

Tampa Bay is likely to pursue a top-four defenseman who can play the right side between now and the trade deadline, reports Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic (subscription required). While Jake Dotchin has fared relatively well alongside Victor Hedman, Lightning GM Steve Yzerman will probably want someone that is a bit more proven in that role once the playoffs are underway. However, that is a common need for a lot of teams (LeBrun adds division-rival Toronto is another team looking for help there) so it will be interesting to see if they can find the right fit. Given their group of quality prospects that they could deal from, they could have a leg up on some of those other teams.

Sell them both to Eastern Conference teams. One's bound to knock the other out early. Higher pick. Wishful thinking. |

If we don’t get Dahlin i trade down if Svechnikov is on the board. Rather take Boqvist Tkachuk or Zadina. No fan of Russian wingers. |
