TBH I think the young guys (and injuries) forced TGs hand. BB went from being a questionable nhl rookie player to being the teams best. Is that a result of TGs patient coaching style or the fact that the franchise can’t recognize the talent they already have.

I wonder if the Canucks management group were a little surprised with what they had.

Reality doesn't set well with some people.... to them, the twins were the best we had... time and time again.... as they got pushed out there by wd. But i guess they were the top players that we had

Maybe you are having WD PTSD lol. But TG was giving 8-12 minutes a night to Sedins when everyone was healthy.

BB was getting top line minutes with BO and Sven from when he got into the line up. He also was on PP1 and later Bo joined him where it got hot and climbed to 5th best in league. BB has grown from there where he did get top minutes last game or two.

The injuries have now increased some Sedin time. But the ratio of time went up more for vets like Vanek, Gagner and LE to fill in the gap of the injured.

Only last couple games has TG given more time to youth like JV and Goldy.

I wish that i had real friends to hang out with so that i could talk hockey to people that don't dislike me or who want me to stop posting and to just leave. I've got a plan though, be disruptive, complain to the head guys and hopefully lower the threshold off posts to my level.
This way i can fully grasp Bennings plan, lower thy intelligence and you can look behind the curtain of management.... just don't go full Chia Pet.

I think you’re drastically overplaying what Kenny Holland did and portraying him as some draft master, he’s not.

He won one Cup in the 90’s, a team he inherited in his first year in 1998. The 2002 Cup was won and lead by players he didn’t draft, Fedorov, Lidstrom, Yzerman and a bunch of high end free agents when there wasn’t the kind of cap there is now.

And for the record, there was never “multiple” Cup appearances where they lost under Holland, there was one in 2009 and that’s where they started to decline.

2008 was his alone.

Markstrom just has too many goals that go through his body. For a big goaltender he doesn’t make the players go around him and pick small corners, they shoot right through him, like the Doughty goal. That should never go in!

If I was an owner of a team and had invested heavily in drafting a certain player and then found out that said player was in the coaches ‘dog house’ because of personality differences I would lose it.

LE deserves a little heat for his lack of productivity and i dont like the signing but he hasnt been bad. Ive noticed he is actually pretty good on the forecheck and always goes into the corners and dirty areas. Sedins are so slow and only pass to eachother, give LE way better linemates (like what Boeser is doing for Vanek) and his production will increase for sure!
