It hasn't worked.
He is coverted elsewhere by a few teams, let's hope Benning is quietly working a small bidding war. |

Nothing - VANTEL
Thanks. Guess we'll have to stick to buzzing out our own speculation.
Tanev should be back tomorrow. As long as no more D injuries the upper hand goes now to Canucks working something out.
So how long will they go rotating one of Pouliot, Stecher and Hutton out of the line up?
Maybe the internal D competition will improve their focus and elevate their development. |

I got you written down right beside Vantel's, Vanek's point production for the year. - manvanfan
Gudbranson.
Trade Vanek at the deadline for anything over a mid third conditional turning into a 2nd if he makes it to the third round. |

Nice little history lesson.
I'm still not remotely interested in having Holland have anything to do with the Canucks. - Marwood

His high scoring chances against prevention is elite level, if we trade him we are softer then a cream puff and picking up a goon who can't prevent high scoring chances is counter productive. |

Ya I got the Gudbranson contract. My page is just very random writing from peoples predictions on here. There was a bit of space beside Vantels prediction for Vanek this season.
I think for Vanek I would like an early 20 year old D stuck in the minors. Someone from Nashville or Tampa Bay or Carolina. |

It's going to take a while before it becomes a real competition for the 3 of them. They don't have enough games under their belts to be worth good depth to teams. |

Yeah they are not turning into trade chips any time soon. Just hoping the 8 healthy D issue will make them better players. At least short term pressure until decisions made on vets. |

Is this the same Martin Frk that they put on waivers last season and got claimed by Carolina? He has a whopping 8 goals and 13 points this season. - Reubenkincade He's a rookie. He's an NHLer that was drafted late. They dont all have to be all stars |

It's hilarious seeing some of the posters who want the Sedins/Edler gone hoping for Holland.
The irony is amazing. - Nucker101
Only I have posted about wanting Holland, that I've seen, and I loves me some swedes whether it's Edler or the Sedin's. Just because I think trading them for picks because were rebuilding doesn't mean I on't havea high opinion of them. |

Remember when the Red Wings won a cup in the '90's?!?! Let's get that GM!!! - Marwood
Multiple in the 90's and 2002 and 2008.... as well as multiple cup appearances where they didn't win. but hey, let's not let details or facts get in the way of your hate, I'd hate for you to change now |

I wonder if we could swap our roster with the Giants? Would that be a proper rebuild? - CanuckDon
Let's be honest here. The only way for us to continue rebuilding right now is trade or scratch/demote Horvat and Boeser who are just killing our chances at drafting position. We cannot have a proper rebuild when our young players keep getting in the way.
This has to be nipped in the bud. We saw glimpses of it last season and should have acted the very moment Horvat showed us his intentions of carrying the team. More young players are about to make the next step soon. Possibly Juolevi and Gaudette next season and Pettersson the season after. These twats are really going to screw with our drafting.
This. Trade young players sign useless vets. Always draft in top 5. The formula for winning the lottery and being in a legit rebuild with out any distraction from kids ignoring the tank and embarrassing our fan base under the scrutiny of the eastern media and their assertions of what a real rebuild looks like..

I think you’re drastically overplaying what Kenny Holland did and portraying him as some draft master, he’s not.
He won one Cup in the 90’s, a team he inherited in his first year in 1998. The 2002 Cup was won and lead by players he didn’t draft, Fedorov, Lidstrom, Yzerman and a bunch of high end free agents when there wasn’t the kind of cap there is now.
And for the record, there was never “multiple” Cup appearances where they lost under Holland, there was one in 2009 and that’s where they started to decline.
2008 was his alone. |

That’s nice, doesn’t mean anything I said is untrue. He’s a rookie (true), he’s an NHLer(true), not all draft picks have to be all stars to be a success(true). Thanks for the hockeydb though. |

Still think he is very experienced and would help someone like JB with all things GM if he was added to front office. I agree all those things are true, except he has drafted exceptionally well as is illustrated in the story I posted in response to Marwood. He’s drafted way above average in every round that he’s drafted in, which is statistically backed up in the article. |

If we had a goalie that didn't let in 1-5 softies a game he would look a lot better with us. |

Personally I’d like to see a younger forward thinking GM who’s more in tune with today’s NHL.
But that’s just my preference. |

You did say he was drafted late. 2012 is his draft eligible year.
Yup he is playing in nhl occasionally, as is Reid Boucher.
