Well that's enough trolling for today I guess, grown-up things to do. Sorry about your feelings Manvan and Marwood.

I think Jake looks scared sometimes. When a scrum breaks out he looks a bit frightened. He is still a kid and going against 6'5 men that weigh 220 can be intimidating . He is still a kid IMO and one day will wake up and realize what it takes. - VANTEL
I hope so. |

He is one of the few players that did not have a mentor for his style of game that everyone wants. Dorsett was close but the time was too short |

His issues, like mine, is that they've not done as well at rebuilding as they could have. At least that's my opinion and why I get annoyed with Aquilini Linden and Benning. - LeftCoaster
All of us Canucks fans would love to have a perfect draft, a perfect TDL, every FA signing to work out better then they should, to "win" every trade the team makes. You win some, you lose some. You know this.
The first goal JB made was to draft and develop and better the prospect pool. He has done that, no one can dispute that.
The second goal was to try and win while they allowed players to draft and develop. I will agree in year 2 things got muddled quite a bit with McCann and Virtanen playing too early.
3rd goal was to get younger and create a new core. I think he has done an "decent" job of that. Van has some good young players. Some good players that could be coming along in the next few years.
I saw improvement in the hockey this season. Simple fact is that as many many guys have said in here, they didn't watch or fell asleep watching games last season. Same record in the standings this season but I hear guys are being entertained. |

What's the Bert doing these days? Sign him as the power forward coach. Got a face-off coach in Manny, why not a Pf coach. |

I don't think it makes much sense for the team to hire a person seeing at the moment Jake s the only PF. He could hire a trainer for that himself. I think if players like Lind Gadjovich make the team in a few years Jake will feel better as a group. Currently he is the only player that could lay out a big hit without blindsiding .

100% agreed. I think the other issue is with Dorsett gone, guddy been out, who next up for perceived toughness and size? JV? But he's far from that type of player.
I remember in jr I was one of the biggest guys on the team, even though I was not a fighter, guess who their biggest guy wants to fight...even if he's way bigger...
Increase team size/toughness and it lets everyone play a bit more fearless.
The same thing with his driving the net halfway and just shooting...he's scared to crash the net and have their biggest guy beat the poop out of him....BUT that will change IMO

Team toughness is lacking right now. Having Gudbranson and Biega help that. So does MDZ.
Brady Tkachuk could certainly help with that. So could Jett Woo and Noah Dobson.
I wouldn't go out and get it if I were JB and hopes more that they come upon it. Example JG type player falling to where they are comfortable drafting at. Trading for it not a good idea either.
Pettersson and OJ, they sure aren't going to run or hit anyone to hard, I doubt. |

I like JG just because he brings both sides . He is not one dimensional . Zac MacEwen a lesser type prospect brings it also.
OJ will probably turn out like Tanev and EP will be close to a Hank but a better shot. |

Funny you saw it's (frank)en stupid but I remember it's literally what some wanted at that time. They wanted younger, faster and it was going to be better no matter. |

Haven't heard any injuries . Sven is skating now and a week or two away from return same with Sutter . It could be cap related but Canucks do need to make a trade so that raises speculation levels |

not at all, just hoping if Tanev is moved it is because the return is better than what was offered for Gudbranson.
and I'd expect whatever Gudbranson is signed for, it will be considered an over payment, so I guess I would hope there isn't any ntc clause in the new deal.
expecting some disappointment, just not a total feckup. |
