He does have potential. I watched him a lot here when he played for the Hitmen and JV really needs a Centre that can carry him along and feed him the puck. Then his speed and shot can be utilized. Maybe Peterson will be that guy. But JV isn't going to blow anyone away being fed by 4th line centres.

I agree he’d probably do much better with a centre with some vision but I still question his hockey sense.

His issues, like mine, is that they've not done as well at rebuilding as they could have. At least that's my opinion and why I get annoyed with Aquilini Linden and Benning.

Nobody is saying he’s done terribly, we’ve been saying he’s slowed the rebuild with his decision making and lack of direction. A bottom 3 finish again doesn’t signify improvement, regardless of how many goals we’ve scored.

I think Jake looks scared sometimes. When a scrum breaks out he looks a bit frightened. He is still a kid and going against 6'5 men that weigh 220 can be intimidating . He is still a kid IMO and one day will wake up and realize what it takes.
