Tryamkin suspended for threatening to shoot the puck at a ref - VANTEL
I don't blame him. The ref was about to give him a penalty, which would have cut in to his ice time. |

Tryamkin was worth watching the game for, despite the crap team he played on. - VanHockeyGuy
Tryamkin still has the mentality of a young kid, all-world skill for a really big man, he just needs to grow up. |

Hes definitely progressing, I have to keep reminding myself that he's only 19. Seems like they drafted him four years ago and he's still trying to make it.....oh sorry that's Virtanen lol - LeftCoaster

it's still a hockey blog with differing opinions on how to get better. Just because opinions differ doesn't mean we don't all want the same thing, a Canucks team that can compete for a Cup.
I think last years draft was awesome, but I also thought 2014's was awesome, and there's only Demko let to fulfill the role of a top player. IMO Virtanen will be a useful nhler but not a star or top six guy.
Thus I'm mindful of keeping my excitement in check. - LeftCoaster
You keeping your excitement in check is like listening to Vantel complain about 5 letter Swedes, period by period. He learned that you just have to have patience and in time they will be gone. Nothing could/can be done about that.
You want a "tank". They finished 3rd and 2nd last in the past 2 years. Who cares how it's accomplished, it happened. Thank you draft lottery.
In the past 10 years, the Oilers have 9 drafted players playing for them.
10 years of Leafs drafting they have 7 players playing for them.
Pittsburgh had 6 in the past 10 years.
It's the way the NHL is. Players are traded, draft picks don't pan out.

We all do, the're stating valid points. I wouldn't call it trolling. I like other NHL teams as well, BFD?
At least they don't turn it into a 10 page argument. - VanHockeyGuy

Nobody ( ok nobody sane ) expected the team to be good at this point. It's just that the direction of the team has been muddled for a few seasons which puts the rebuild behind where it should be. |

I'm hearing from a pretty reliable source that Linden and Benning will be back for 4 more years...that should do it. |

The last thing we need is that goof Phaneuf in the locker room. A bonafide tool. |

Ya I'm happy with the past two years results, those finishes netted them two really good prospects. My issues lie solely with how they're going about rebuilding, last year was a major step in the right direction, I just hope they manage their assets well and acquire more picks.
Gadjovich was a result of Tortorrella signing in Columbus not Benning acquiring another 2nd. |
