Good catch. I thought he had 1 more year than pommenville left.

I liked both 82 and 63. Neither is doing anything impressive.

Ennis is one of those skilled guys who needs to play with other skilled guys to produce
Pretty sure he’s been mostly on the 4th line for Minny
I think the injuries have worn on him too
He’s just not the same player he used to be with us
There were a couple seasons where he was really fun to watch

Foligno is just a solid depth player
Won’t see anything spectacular from him ever
But every team needs a few guys like that
Ppl love to say stuff like “if his name wasn’t Foligno...”
I actually think he got bashed MORE than he deserved bc that was his name

NHL.com headline:

Deslauriers, Canadiens hand Canucks sixth loss in seven games
Forward scores two goals to help overcome Vanek hat trick for Vancouver

THE PLAYERS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM.

THE CULTURE IS THE PROBLEM.

SEE: Der Kaiser, Honkforthegoose posts.

Happy with loser points being a signal of "improvement" over the past 5 games.

Team is starting to "click" yet rode our franchise player's 4-point game to an OT loss the other night, and followed it up with a shutout, in their own building, AGAINST THEM, from a back-up goalie, against a team playing it's second game in 2 nights.

It. Is. The. Culture.

Great goaltenders and players who played great are 2 different situations.

I mentioned kane not toews.

Which team has won a cup without a #1 center?

- Boss34

What team doesn’t have a “#1” Center?

What team has won a Cup without getting good to great goaltending?

We get it
It’s all Pegula’s fault

Trying to find things to be positive about doesn’t mean “the culture” is a problem

There aren't many teams that have won cups without great goaltending. However, generally, the Cup winning goaltenders have been what most would consider "good" goaltenders who had a great stretch at the right time.

Since he is the owner and since he bought the team, yes, there's no one higher to blame for the poop-show, toxic culture are the HarborCenter.

Sorry. He's the guy making all the decisions and writing all the checks.

It's his problem. And everything the leaks points to him being a micro-managing moron. It's truly baffling he had a successful business, but then, it's kind of hard to not make money destroying and exploiting the environment.

I liked both of these guys.
Jbotts sold at the right time.
Ennis isn't who he was (when he was good) and not injured
Foligno was a overachiever. A 4th round pick, born in buffalo.
Mike foligno was a grest captain, fun to see his son play here

Murray overpaid for Kane who became a P.R. headache for him.
He overpaid for Fasching and Lehner.
He trade away an awful lot of futures.
He ignored the defense in the organization and at the drafts.
He ignored Rochester.
His staff could not develop players.

When asked what was his plan to right the ship, his reply basically was, "beats me?"

He got himself fired, pure and simple.

You do understand that when a new owner buys a business, he has a vision.

To act like he should spend all that money and let someone else have the fun of making decisions: doesn't make sense.

He is a very successful billionaire :
I'm sure he feels like he's a smart guy and makes smart moves. He has proven that to himself.

Why wouldn't he want to be a hands on owner? He was a season ticket holder?
Name an owner that doesn't meddle in things?

The Bills are 8-6; he needs to get credit when things are going well, if your going to knock him when things aren't going well.

Okay, let's say we miraculously make the playoffs this season.

We still had that stretch in the middle which was some of the worst Bills football I have ever seen, going on 30-years of watching them now.

We are 8-6. Will will most likely finish 9-7 at best, but don't be surprised to finish 8-8 and have the same middling Bills team as the previous 17 years.

The season isn't over. If we make the playoff, great, but there's way too many question marks going into next season.

If we miss, it's literally the same damn product. 8 of these 17-seasons, which is just under half, we have been no worse than 7-9. And we have had 5 seasons of at least 8-8.

The Bills have not been as historically bad over the past 17 years as some would like to believe. But bad drafting and ignoring our QB situation have cursed us.

My problem with him is he's a literal moron.

Everything thereafter is an effect of his moronitis.

And yes, (frank) him for how he made his money. Let's leave it there because I know your retort is going to be intolerable.

Agree
U don’t necessarily need a “Hasek”
But if u have a great goalie,
you’re more likely to get that “great” performance that u need

Lots of teams are derailed by their goaltending in the playoffs

Good job, you avoided giving Pegula any credit for the coach and GM he hired who have gotten this team to overachieve by quite a large margin. You are being irrationally negative about him

No, Pegula does not get credit for a team he literally is as hands off as possible on.

Kim runs that show. Terry's baby is the Sabres.

The way he made his money ,may be direct karma on our bills and sabres success.

Oh yeah...
I must have mistaken all your b!tching for true happiness
My bad

Although...
constant whining seems a lot closer to misery
And being positive seem closer to being happy
Maybe that’s just my “intolerable” view of the world though
