Jack's roomie must be totally pissed that Nolan is ahead of him now, not to mention a 34-year old. I am happy to see Josefson back playing again. The little bit I have seen of him, he looks pretty good.

Great read, I really like it.

Bot enough has been done, more player movement has to be done. 3 should do it;

I hope we don't wait too long on Kane. If he hits a slump, or god forbid gets hurt, we are franked on trade value
- lulags

Wow, get out more often and don’t sweat the small stuff.

The only way I trade Kane is if there’s a gentlemen agreement to return, which wont happen.

There’s always going to be good value, remember he was recovering from injury when we got him and look at what he can do, to me he’s like a Cam Neely,

Although gus falls alot and doesn't score:

He plays to the best of his ability and tries hard, checks and shows heart.

That's what buffalonians like.

Silent sam is a ego filled turd.

What's Girgerenko then? If girgs is a bust?

Expectations of a mid 1st round pick are low.
Look back at our sabres history , not sure if bust is the right terminology. Still feel he's a bit underachieving , not bust territory.

Just an opinion.

Rather move larson then girgs

- Boss34

Finally someone whom I agree with. I think ROR, Larrson and Johnson are the moves to make, soon.

Like Neely he’s a complete player that not only scores but takes the body has great speed and if not for injury would be a year in and out, easily a 30 goal scorer, but, people want to degrade his value because of some immature stunts that he’s outgrown and doing what’s expected of himself and by the team.

He smokes copious amounts of marijuana though, so not sure if he's a reliable source...you may be right.

Are you for real?
Jesus Christ, and I thought I was the old foggy on this board...you sire are straight from the government films in the 50’s

When he gets traded to "Team X" and becomes a valuable 3rd line (maybe 2nd line) contributor to said team, many on this board will say "we gave up to soon on him or we should have kept him". See Tyler Myers, Mark Pysyk, Joel Armia, Paul Byron, Derek Grant and others for reference. The same will occur with Reinhart and ROR if they get traded.
- SabreWest

I have never uttered one word of regret ( or revert) with respect to any of those names, nor will I with Girgs nor Rhino.
ROR maybe, but Jesus Christ play better rather than talk about playing better.
I’d prefer to retain ROR, but meh.

I'm hoping they lock him up. I'd like to see Botts build the forward grouping around Jack, ROR, Kane and Okposo....(if Okposo can get his game back). Basically make the team big and tough to play against. Maybe trade Reinhart for someone who can compliment a hard nosed style....Find a younger Patrik Hornquist type.

I also like Josefson (I can't spell his frucking name), Rodriguez and Wilson as a nice core for the bottom 6.

Every player named is still under 30 and can continue to produce for a while.

I think you gotta keep ROR. He's a quality player that really isn't put into a great position to produce. He takes it on himself that he needs to be better. But, you give him a solid third line that can also take the D zone starts....his production goes up.

That's reasonable, but is it fair? Shouldn't we expect more out of a former 1st rounder who scored 15g in 60 games? Granted he was on the first line then, but he's on the second line now, and imo, he rarely gets a sniff of a goal. He's now at 8 goals in his past 100 games.
- jcragcrumple

or maybe we overrated him?...I though he'd be a top-six player...it doesn't seem as if it will work out that way

Great blog, as always :

Do you see 90 or 21 getting moved to open up some cap room?

Jbotts mentioned having the 2 good centers 90, 15 when he took the job
If middlestat can make the jump, seams like we have quite a few centers

- Boss34

i'd think he'd rather move 21 first for the reason you stated, they have their top-2 centers and as much as I wrote underwhelming stuff about him, he's a real good player that just needs to tweek his game a bit

That seems to be the way with a lot of mid first rounders. They get a look at bigger minutes and produce fairly well at first, but there are holes in their game. If those holes don't get fixed they lose minutes and production. Eventually they turn into solid bottom 6 players, but nothing more.
