He didn't play much in the 2nd half his snap total was down a lot because his knee was banged up on that trip.

He was playing well up to that point.

His big knock coming out was his unpolished route running.

That takes time to develop.

With a healthy Benjamin next year I expect Jones to be just fine.

I didn't say he was going to be a Pro Bowler or anything but a good slot receiver.

They still need a guy who can stretch the field though.

- Stripes77

my issue is the drops

nothing more, nothing less

he has 121 yards receiving in our 8 wins

15 yards a game

put him on the wall in new era field RIGHT NOW

- homiedclown

This right here is why people leave this site.

Someone could say this person isn't bad or not worried about his development and people jump to saying he is a hall of famer

I forget how the NFL cap works, AV or actual salary, or some combination that allows each year to be different.
If they could be different, then front load so the last 2 years are lower to buyout or get his replacement drafted and in the fold when his age catches up to him.

This year's fake prospect news is Svechnikov not getting drafted #2.
- TheSabresTaco

Yet I was wrong when I said Nico would go first and not one person knew who he was because he was raked at 15 at this time

But fake news

Yep, but extending him, would affect our draft stategy. Especially at wr , takes a few years to grow into.

Has jimmi g completely played the 49ers into signing him long term? Probably
Wouldn't mind seeing him or cousins.

Save the qb pick for line help on both sides

- Boss34

I think 3 of the top 5 picks have to be committed to every level of the Defense. Middle LB (priority #1,) DL and Secondary. You got two other picks in there to get a QB and either WR or OL, preferably OL. As much as I would really like Julio LTE 2.0, i mean Calvin Ridley, and they will be lined up for him with one of their 1sts, we can get a serviceable enough WR for this team in free agency next year. I'll like it if they get Julio LTE 2.0, but think they need to get impact elsewhere.

I think Jones will be decent.

Still don't get why anyone trades up in this league though.

JuJu Smith is twice as good and was picked a round later

You nailed Nico, no doubt, but you can't talk about how he has been in the NHL this year because he's been nothing special.

Ok, but Matthews has been hurt, so has Benjamin.

5 targets a game is #2 WR numbers, and Jones has been our "#1" in multiple games this year.

Tyrod just doesn't throw to recievers consistently.

- sbroads24

Matthews was targets 35 times in the games he played.

It's not Tyrod, it's the offense.

Tyrod threw to Watkins all the time in 13 games in 2015 he was thrown to 95 times
In 2016 in 8 games 52 times (with him leaving games early)

It is not a Tyrod issue, it's this offense.

Sure Draft an o-lineman. Ask Miami how drafting the Best o-lineman in the draft helped them when they could have Drafted Matt Ryan instead.

You always take the QB, always.

- ImThatGuy

Not picking an ol at 3 overall.
Bills can finally build the line, then draft a qb with the good picks we have.
Why get a new guy hurt with no protection.
You watched the jets game right? Tyrod had no time, a new qb would have no time to throw

He is also in an offense with a HOF QB and a system where they throw the ball a ton

stop assuming jones is a fixture with his 32% catches on his targets and his 20 yards a game then

he may be good
he may be great
he may be off this roster in 22 months

He’s what 29.
4 would be ok...5, boy I’d have to really think

- IonSabres

That's what I'm thinking about. I'm not sure I'd want to be tied up that long. I think the best route is through the draft, especially this year, but we certainly have had some lousy luck there as well. Who knows...seriously, who knows?

Outside of QB, for the upcoming draft, I prefer the Bills to solidify both of their lines.
I think their defensive back field is serviceable as is, but they could also use a LB
Controlling both sides of line pla6 is usually a very good thing.

I really like this scout Tim Murrays eye for defense. He's been touting this guy:

Do you guys think he would be a good fit for the Sabres?

Zay has 2 games and 3 years to prove his worth.

Whaley's guys are looking over their shoulder.

I can't believe the bills are building something special. Hope it's no a mirage.

Imagine sneaking in and going to Jacksonville for the wild card game.

Marrone and darius

Blake bortells isn't exactly

Brady or Big Ben.

Our D should be able to compete. Our o will have a tough match up , but that's nothing new

Honest question do you really see that happening?

They are on their way to an at worse 8-8 season after trading away pieces that were figured to be key pieces to the previous regime.

I will be disappointed if they go anything less than 9-7 next year no matter who the QB is.
