I am willing to give him a year, to be sure.
But let’s stop making excuses for him..
- He is 19-3/4 years old (3/‘98)
- his brother, who is 21 (5/‘96) came up to the NHL at the end of the ‘15-‘16 season and did very well.
- Alex seems completely lost in the NA game, perhaps playing In an International Tourney will actually set him back from further learning how to produce on the smaller ice.

Alex’s comparable timeline would be later this season...do you really think he’ll be ready in March? I don’t think so unless the light bulb goes off in his head suddenly.
Sooooooo, tell me why his development has been very, very slow?
- IonSabres

This seems to be the case. He finds all kinds of open space on the big ice but the NA ice seems to be strangling him

And William was scoring more than a point per game in the AHL when he was 19. William played in Europe as well. Clearly he is the better talent and adapted quicker.
Alex is not a lost cause by any means though

if it weren't for The Farce Awakens, that would be the worst Star Wars movie.
- BeadyEyedDouche

I found Attack of the Clones to be much worse. I am not trying to defend the Force Awakens as a great movie, but at least I found it entertaining, and the plot to at least not insult my intelligence as much. Yes, it was pretty much a reboot of A New Hope, but a reboot of A New Hope is still a much better idea than whatever Attack of the Clones was. The plot made no sense. The CGI was terribly done. The acting (which I am not an expert on) just didn't do it for me. I am not an expert on film. I consider myself a Star Wars fan, but nowhere near a Star Wars junkie. I judge a film based on this question: without picking apart every single minute detail (which I find cumbersome, boring, and a complete waste of time), did this movie entertain me? The Force Awakens did. Attack of the Clones did not.

I thought the last 30 minutes of attack of the clones to be as good as any 30 minute stretch in a star wars movie

Smith has serious talent. I still don't agree with not giving him a crack at the Sabres line-up but I guess we are officially tanking so thats that

I saw the prequels as a kid before i saw the OT. The weirdest thing for me when i saw the OT was how goofy Yoda was. He was a strange prankster creature in the OT and a very serious person in the prequels. I guess the killing of all the Jedi and living in a bog for 30? years made him suuper weird.

Samuel L. and Ewan McGregor made the last 2 prequel movies watchable and even good at times. Hayden Christenson, paired with the writing, make his scenes unwatchable

I said it the other day. He buried that OT goal with no hesitation. We could use some of that.

I started backreading, and then lost interest very quickly.

Is there anything interesting that is happening before the freeze tomorrow?

Depends on which seat you have.

If you're in the middle, complain on.

If you're in the window or aisle, you only get one.

Shhhhhsh!
Losing with Dignity.

Finish bottom 2, draft no lower than top 5 in a deeper draft class.
Look for ways to get another top 20 pick.
Draft 2 Dmen.
Use FA smartly to bring in a couple of wingers (easier to find than D)
Pray hard that one of Mittlestadt, Pu or Nylander can play effectively in the top 6
Resign Pouloit for 1 year, incentive laden contract.

That's fair.

Kind of what I anticipated, but there are gems that could be buried amongst the debris.

I’m no expert, but some of the stuff I have read are there are 3?
The 2nd one I proposed with a 20something pick is for the pipeline 2-3 years down the road...restocks Roch When Guhle comes up.

I heard something about MTL making a push for O'Reilly.

Gally, Ljindgren, and a 2nd for ROR.

I would take that in a heartbeat.

i don't think MTL would be that dumb.

Isn’t it great talking about 2018 - 19 strategies in December 2017 before Christmas?
