This would have been said last night after the game.

Practice in 15 min.... Full equipment no sticks.... Your all skating wind sprints... Tomorrow morning 9:00 AM same thing. if we don't play better Friday night.....Sat, Sun and Mon... more wind sprints.

Time to skate with some desperation boys or you will be doing this for the rest of the year.

I guess that's true. Either way, the House and Senate are supposed to come up with a joint bill today. It will be interesting to see the fallout when Pence has to cast the tiebreaking vote in the Senate now that Roy Moore lost the Senate seat in Alabama.

As someone who does Corporate taxes for a living, I just want this thing to be overwith so I know what I'm dealing with.

I can live with $7.5 million if I am getting $7.5 million worth of production out of him, and right now, I'm not.

I disagree. I don't think you could sign a FA or trade for a player with his cap hit who does what he does.

Of all the problems with the team, i just don't see him as a problem. Next year, he'll take up 10% of the cap, and if we trade Kane, he's the second-leading scorer on the team, while playing with non-second line caliber players.

The money simply isn't a problem.

The money is a problem for

Gorges
Moulson
Okposo
Bogo

ROR is worth 10% of the cap IMO

He just went 12 games without scoring a goal, while playing over 20 minutes a night. That's a problem from your 2nd best forward. He also scores 5 on 5 like an average 3rd liner

Every guy slumps, ROR slumps every year, and for crazy amounts of games.

He was maybe our worst forward the first 5 games (Of forwards that matter anyways)

They have gotten their money's worth for the first 45-50 games he was here, since then absolutely not.

I still think its crazy that as fans some blame a player for not producing based on how much money they make. The player does not sign themselves to a contract. If there is any blame, its on the Agents and GM's for the amount that is paid...

You and I just have a fundamental disagreement on his value.

I see 21p in 32g and 20 mins a night as a positive, and an indication that he has to cover the butts of the bums behind him who couldn't score to save their lives in the first 25 games.

I like the player, and the contract represents fair market value to me. He couldn't be replaced on the open market for that price.

I think we played well last night. Lehner's stock keeps going up. Scoring is clearly an issue. With our D-core buying into Housleys system they may be able to become a decent crew. Jorges still needs to go to make room for Antipin. If we could get 1 clear cut leader on D and Ghule is ready next year I think we are good there.

No for the offense

I does seem crazy to talk trading Kane when we are desperate to score. Let me say, as other have said, he won't sign here. Jbotts probably has an offer on the table for him im sure while he entertains offers. I bet Kane wants to play elsewhere. Buffalo does not offer the excitement he craves. We need to ditch as many of these forwards as possible between now and the deadline.

Now, let's assume Kane is gone and we gets picks. Let's assemble our offense and the ROR supporters can explain again why we need to keep him.

BENOIT POULIOT JACK EICHEL JASON POMINVILLE
ZEMGUS GIRGENSONS RYAN O'REILLY KYLE OKPOSO
EVAN RODRIGUES SAM REINHART HUDSON FASCHING

I'm done. I've stated my case, reiterated my case, and convinced no one. We'll see if he gets traded.

Yeah he does it so often. Let's sign him for what he is worth ... maybe 7 mil... I know its high but I think he can squeeze out a few more goals next season

I will say he did not look too bad last night. My main issue with him is we can't pay that kinda money for what should be a 3rd line player on any team with even an iota of depth. He would be an excellent acquisition for a team making a serious playoff run and needs depth, 3rd liner.

I still think Eichel with the right complementing players and some proper mentors will be an elite player. That breakaway pass to Kane was sick! If Kane buries that we may have pulled off a win.
