I'm saying Green is doing what he thinks is best with the roster he's given. And it makes sense. Chaput and Gaunce are sadly two of the best on the team on the PK, defensively, forecheck, board battles, etc.
- Nucker101

That's all he can do. With Sutter Guddy Horvat Dorsett and now Baertchi out his options are massively limited. Yes I agree Gaunce an Chapoo looked good yesterday but if that's the best our bottom 6 can offer in terms of PK forecheck and board battles we are in a sh**itload of trouble. More injuries are coming too it's most likely only going to get worse which is good for the bottom 5 guys.

Kind of hoping they shut down Bo, don't want to see him having injury problems down the road and that means healing properly.

Evidently not. That's why they're in the lineup. There's a reason Green was playing them more than a typical 4th line when the team was defending the lead.

So you're cool with 90 games 0 goals?? As long as the little things keep winning us games I guess.

Tanev came back early and is playing with injuries. You can bet Bo won't be kicking back feet up sipping LI Ice Teas in January.

By the way nice run in HB match... good luck tonight.

Looking around at other teams 4th lines, it looks as though we aren't the only team not getting production

What are you talking about? He has a fractured foot! It’s a minor injury and won’t have any long term effects. Should they shut him down for the whole year and cover him with bubble wrap?

Few teams if any have depth to do well with key players out with injury. So far seen a lot of fluke injuries beset the Canucks, are you saying they are cursed to get more?

Just saying it's Canuck Luck as well as historically we are not a very healthy team by January. That will change with the inception of new players of course going forward but I will not be shocked to see a few more starters out in the next few weeks. Basically reality is setting in we had a good start but we are in big trouble now.

Watched that replay of Holms injury & the other dude left his feet to hit him.

Wonder if he was suspended?

When you know you're hockey team isn't very good...

Green on Chaput: 'oh yeah, he's going to stay in the line-up for sure.'

- VanHockeyGuy

That explains the long list of other teams doung no better or even worse. We have lots of company.

After what I saw last night, I'd keep Chitpoo in the line up over Gagner. I'm fkn serious. I just cant get on board with Gag taking up so much ice time and I want him nowhere near what ever line Brock is on ever again.

Slow, brain dead, poor passing, poor shot, dirty player, bad signing.

- boonerbuck

Always thought Gagner was a tweener at best. A failure as a UFA signing but it happens quite often. Buyout candidate when we need space but there is no rush.

It's not the only injury he's had actually, which is why he had such a slow start.

I would really love to see a reset on our D from TDL through summer. Out: Edler, Hutton, Guddy if he doesnt want to resign for no more than he's getting currently to stay in Van.

I think Tanev would be good for the young D coming in. Always a steady defender available to give them space and time to hone their skills. I'd be happy to continue working with more young raw talent like Stetcher as long as it's not he and Hutton at the same time. Del Zotto feels like he's been a steady Canuck for seasons already for some reason. Keeper for now... in comes OJ and another free agent or two...

I'll settle with just Edler gone to be honest

- boonerbuck

Edler needs to be forced out. Its time.
Stecher gone not Hutton.
Resign EG.

Hutton Tanev
OJ EG
MDZ Pouliot

I know its a bit ugly but 1yr of testung it wouldn’t bother me.

Let's just allow Hutton to gain experience playing 3rd line minutes and practicing lots. May need his depth in years to come.

I fractured my foot & its worse than a clean break & its often that it does have a longterm effect. Bo has to be handled properly & no rush til totally healed.

I rather they didn't give him the pay day and signed Kerfoot and Butcher who are doing well. But guess those two knew better that very little opportunity would be given to rookies. You have to be BB like to bust through. Hope next season they don't extend Sedins so better players that aren't about helping them can be added.

#Canucks final thoughts. I was right about Dowd in FO’s, he didn’t W 1. Probably why TOI was 8:12. BEST Corsi, Virtanen 2. Granlund-16, Vanek-15, Tanev-14, Edler-14, the worst. Henrik Tops 13 FOW. Chaput, 2nd Best Corsi 1, FOW 8, Top Hits 3, Best C for the Nucks. He’ll play again
