As discussed on here repeatedly, his stats do show that he makes a difference when he's on the ice. Maybe not in points or hit totals, but he does have some influence on the canuck's quality of play.

I think your opinion of him is overly dramatic and he might be the wrong target of your frustration with this team.

But of course that doesn't mean I don't respect your opinion.

How about be a consistent defender on any specific part of the position, defensive defenceman you say, fine, please excel at that one specific portion of the job.
The guy is always hurt, he always gets plastered against the boards "defending" he always goes down trying to take the shot or pass away. He never ever hits, struggles behind the net, is sh!tty trying to clear the zone. His influence is having the entire team hover in the zone, or having 2 more teammates come assist him to get the puck away from the forward.

But that's not all the time, there are times where he plays exceptional, but he is not consistent. Carol pointed out in this blog that he has struggled since coming back, but hey maybe her opinion of him is overly dramatic and might be the wrong target...

There are several easy targets on this team, Tanevs glaring errors the last few games just puts him in a conversation. And that's what this was, a conversation about Tanev being a great trade piece, to get better picks to make a better team.

I dont remember mckinnon being tagged as a generational talent. I just said that tanking is in no way a garuntee for success with edm, buf examples, but the canucks are so awful, dahlin is needed more by us than any other team in the league, and it isnt close.

They miss the toughness of Gubranson & Dorsett. Also, there is very little skill or talent on the team and the coaching staff are a bunch of amateurs as well as a guy who was previously fired by the Canucks a few years ago.

I do get asked if I played pro hockey all the time especially by Americans. Havent had to have a tooth drilled since I was a teen but missing a hand full of front teeth.

People seem to forget, on purpose or otherwise, that before the AVs let Stastny walk for nothing and got poop in return for O'Reilly they were on their way to good things if they could've improved their defense. Now they're back to square one but it was from mismanagement.
