Anyone else noticing this trend when we play upper echelon teams:
Fast start, great 1st period.....then lose momentum as the 2nd period begins, and get dominated for the remainder of the game. Seems impossible to put together 60 minutes of solid hockey, hopefully we have a better 3rd period this time around and stop this trend tonight. |

Third line has looked good again tonight.
I agree with others. Panik is useless right now. |

Hawks are in a retooling year, still to many green and inconsistent players in to many positions on the ice. |

It's still promising. Three weeks ago this team looked like crap. Today they look like a pretty decent hockey team. I said I'd give it till Thanksgiving and I am confident this team is on its way to a good year. How good? Hard to say...Predators, Jets look like class of division right now. |

They couldn't have called the hack on Hartman behind the net, or the holding on Wingels in the corner, but finally call the slash on PK Subban. |

Don't care tonight. The PowerPlay looks like trash again tonight. Can't even get it setup. Just play 5 on 5 I say. |

I agree, but you can see the difference between the Preds compared to the Hawks, altogether tougher, and as fast. Also noticing the Hawks getting further and further away from Rinne |

Yep, they need one more forward w/size, Cat to the 1st, Panik to
the 3rd.
Let's see how the 3rd period goes, with any skill 88 already has
a Cat trick.

This is a good point. His saves that period my Bantam goalie could have made, absolutely nothing challenging, wide open in front of him, total vision. Hawks need to get gritty to tie this game. Line 3 and 4 playing well, Line 2 is so-so...Line 1 is a total flipping no show. |

Hartman 13% on faceoffs....end this experiment. The other 3 centers are right at 50% |

That's crazy man. The young kids are competing and playing hard. The problem is with TOEWS. Watch him closely....very little compete, poor puck management, weak at finishing. We go nowhere without him and he's actually dragging down that 1st line. Panik just plain bad and Saad quiet again.
The next time Panik takes the body will be his first in many games.....sit his arse.

I hate the Predators, but it's hard to not like Roman Rosi and Victor Ardvisson. |

Think the HAWKS lost a little focus after that garbage goal by Watson ,could have been called off for both reasons off the glove or Interference . Q lost it that for sure , heard him asking the interviewer what he thought . Q should be better then that , got to play through that grap |

Not entirely true, little thing I noticed in the defensive end, Schmaltz had a bead on the puck and he just backed off because a bigger pred was in the area, that can't happen and that doesn't help your team, must compete and battle every minute you are on the ice |

Nah, the PP would eventually come though, if it was me, it would be 12-19-88-15-42 out there for the next PP. |

Not yet. We can't afford to give them more PP time though. They've probably been setup in our zone 90% of the time. Hawks probably setup 10% of the time. Isn't there some damn stat that show that?
Hawks need to show moxie. Overall, the D has played well tonight. Need some goals. |

Selfish penalty by Kane- Team paid the price
Forsberg should have had the start against the Ducks
Crawford should have had this start
Q out coached on this two game combo
Hung out Forsberg again
Team played its heart out tonight |
