Is this the bit where you tell me you were raised in a station wagon?
You go and form a support group with NuckFU. I'm not here to make friends and don't give a f*ck if anyone likes me or not. I do enjoy your paranoid rants, however.

You actually just did that.

Anyways. I think I made my point... or perhaps you made my point for me. And two days of no gas lighting the main thread and running to your safe place doesn't seem to have happened so it's nice that others are allowed serenity as well... as reluctant as you are to consider others.

WTF does gaslighting even mean, sounds like something from the 1900 hundreds, I’ve only seen one other poster use this word, and that guy uses several words I have never heard of.

Ever throw some gas on a open flame before? Or maybe start a fire with a lot of gas?

Think in the lines of starting fires, fanning flames, and basically following through with the threats of trolling the main thread to create outrage.

The term "Gas Lighting" is used to describe manufactured outrage.

I've seen more than one other person use it on here. It's used to describe people like Botchford at times.

Ok thanks for the explanation, I can honestly say I’ve only seen one other person use this adjective. I have to say I’m not a fan of catchy terms, like # hashtag, it’s the number symbol. I could go on but there really is no point, I’m a dinosaur and happy to be so.

I hate the hash tag thing too... I picked up "gas lighting" from political debates. It's an excellent term to describe the media "Russiagate" campaign that has gone nowhere. Just noise to cause outrage.

He will argue anything. You keep him going long enough and he will go full circle and start arguing against his original point.

It's better this way imo.

The ratio is more tolerable in there

I agree things “seem” more tolerable, but I chalk that up to several of us refuse to engage.

I do applaud you for your tempered responses when it is evident that certain posts are meant as direct criticism or challenges. I have read blogs expecting a sh!t storm, but instead have been pleasantly surprised.

Good on you Nucker

Yes your posts have been much more tempered, thanks for that Marwood. Name calling doesn’t help any situation, and as I said above I have been very much pleasantly surprised.

I was being slightly facetious.
I thought 'pompous know-it-all' was character identification and not name calling.

Have been following along these type of threads for months. A year ago received some interesting forwarded material by quite a number of concerned posters who have shared what was really going on. Being a lurker you can miss the game playing and manipulation by the entitled. So took the challenge up much to their chagrin.

Perhaps it is about time we get a real vent off going both ways. Away from the innocent and bystanders. So if any of you pretentious types can find serenity again; come here for a no holds barred tell all.
