Hopefully he's driving to the airport mid April never to return - LeftCoaster
Do you know how hard it is to be let go by the Canucks? It is easier to be fired from a city job. |

Nah, there is life beyond a smart phone.
Nothing gives me greater pleasure than walking right through people transfixed by their phones when visiting Vancouver. I pretend they are NuckFU. - Marwood
The real problem is that the round earth pundits have you believing the earth is in the circular form, discounting the real possibility that it’s truly flat. |

Canucks have 6 RFAs next year that need new contacts and 6 UFA that need replacing.
12 players 30 mil in space. Is Benning driving down the numbers? - VANTEL
4 out of 6 wouldn't be bad, Burmy can go for sure. Then possibly make a decision between Granlund and Sven or even trading away Stecher.
Personally, I'd like to resign Virtanen, Pouliot, Sven and Granlund - they shouldn't be too expensive. |

I would sign Stecher also .He is a good insurance policy. So is Weirchioch. How is Holm coming along?

Currently he's on pace for 59 points this season. Though I imagine he'll drop off a bit, I think that a 50 point season will have him in line for a decent size raise |

They fired Gillis and Tortorella for less. |

I havent watched a Utica game in a couple weeks but I've read a few things saying Holm is looking more comfortable, defensively and on the smaller ice. He got a pretty accurate shot too.
As for the UFAs - I guess they gotta replace Sedins and Vanek up front. I supposed Gaudette could be one replacement. I read an interview yesterday by Thomas Gradin and this is what he said about Dahlen and Pettersson.
"If we continue to play as we do today, they might have been here this season. This is what I personally think. We have a team that does not look good. Then it's better to start picking these young players earlier than it was supposed to be. Since it will be a generation change, it's just as good to start getting used to these young guys already."
Then he said he wants them to get as time to learn from the Sedins before they're gone. |

Who gets their 1st pt of the season first?
Gaunce or Gudbranson
Bit of a head start by Gudbranson tho. |

I knew someone would call on me that - I should've said, besides Sven. |

I am a little shocked by the pace to be honest. He's always been streaky, so if they are going to pay him I hope he shows more consistency getting on the scoresheet. Points in 8 of 18 games isnt great for a top-6 IMO |

Gaunce wouldn't even make my beer league team. He's one of the worst Canucks in franchise history.
Here's a short list of people I'd rather have on the Canucks....
Snoop Dogg
Fred Penner
Hitler
Bambi
Wilt Chamberlain
Fatman from Jake and the FatMan
Hal Johnson and Johann McLeod
Sebastian Bach
Destro
all members of Limblifter
Lloyd Christmas |

Yeah, it helps when you play with those two. Nice shot though. |

Without going goal by goal, I'd say thats hard to argue against. Versus ANA is the only game where Sven got a point when Boeser didnt, otherwise Sven has only been on the scoresheet when Boeser has (though we know last night they both got points but were on separate goals.. I am just too lazy to look it up) |

Out of Baertschi's 13 points on the season so far, only 3 have come from plays in which Boeser did not also get a point. |

Couldnt you argue that he was the direct result for winning last nights game - and directly attributing to the wins against Ott, Det, Wash, Pitts?
He's a good player that's realistically only in his 3rd full season, 25 years old and is improving every year. He seems to make his line mates better and vice versa. These are good things. |

You could definitely make that case, and I am not suggesting he's a bad player. He contributes to his line and together they are producing, its a positive thing for sure.
I just think, with his inconsistency over the past couple seasons, that its hard not to look at the presence of Boeser as the biggest change for him |

Didn't Benning say "why isn't anyone taking Boeser" as well as saying that about Lind? Or did he say "Boeser won't be there at 23"?
Regardless, I hope Lind is as good as Boeser. |
