Just bet my buddy that LV does not make the playoffs. Thoughts?
- neem55

i'd agree with you.

anaheim or edm will go on a run plus i don't think LGK keep up their pace much longer.

True, they could look at 3-way deal or accumulate picks to be used at TDL. I just can't see them taking a step back, they've been primed to take a step forward for years it feels like
- WhiteLie

I think they will deal from their depth for some help on D. Regardless of how good it looks on paper, that group is not that good in its own end. I think Hjarmallsson, Tanev, C.Miller type of defensive-first guy.

Why? Lack of skill? Inability to score? Poor goaltending? Bad coaching? Intangibles?

Didn't they finish pretty high last year? Or should I say, the year he won the Jack Adams
- neem55

Last year he won the Jack Adams and they finished 12th in PP, but their 19.91% was only slightly higher than the league average of 19.10%. That was the first time his team was above league average since NYR was 0.04% better in 09-10 season, and then the 07-08 Lightning before that

huh, yeah I'm not too surprised. He's all about "lunchpail hockey". Maybe he'd be interested in Dorsett

I'm a 50% jets fan

A different friend was saying how Chevy and MAurice were on the same page to let the youth play and learn together. Make mistakes and grow. They knew it was going to a process and were okay with it.

Burmistrov, gagner and gudbranson to wpg? That would net the canucks a pretty good haul because I've been hearing that the jets need help up front and right side d.

That's a huge pump and dump.

i would say it's generally a lack of skill. i think their production right now won't be kept up by players like perron and james neal.

their gf are top 10 right now but their ga are bottom 10.

i think it's more realistic that their goaltending (and subsequently ga) stays the same while their scoring goes down.

No to Evan Bouchard for next years draft. Doesn't have enough intangibles.

Yeah like it would be criminal not to trade Vanek by TDL it would be negligent not to sell DD on the high.

CBJ did have DD at one point and brought in Hartnell as an upgrade who left for Preds this season. Perhaps they take another swing again at DD. JB should do it even if cap retention is needed.

But either way there should be a team that might see value with DD at TDL.

I've heard nothing but good things about the guy. Being at such a crucial position, the guy will have to fight tooth and nail to get a gig in the bigs (In reference to his size).

I've heard/read a couple compaisons to Jaroslav Halak.

Interesting prospect to say the least.

The Vancouver Canucks are getting power-play chances but a failure to score is causing them to slip in the Pacific Division standings after their second straight loss on Saturday night in San Jose.

He has been the best forward for the OHL. Looks like his stride is more fluid. Could use another gear still though.

His back checking needs to improve also. Super coach TG won't like that.
