you're married to a psychic? - dbot
 fixed. Thanks |

Ya, that's not exact. Certain countries are worse and I believed it's after the group stage. I read it in a book about the economics of soccer and what the world cup brings to countries.
I also read it in my wife's psych text book about the effect of sports on people. - manvanfan

Hank dank vanek gagner mdz boeser bo baertschi hutton stecher pouliot sutter LE

Werenski foligno gagner calvert anderson jones dubinsky wennberg atkinson jenner bjorkstrand
Im sorry but its impossible to compare what gagner did with CBJ with what he can do with VAN - Codes1087
There was no comparison made like that other then by you. The point was that Gagner had value to competitive CBJ who is not doing as well on PP without him. Where rebuilding Canucks can gain an asset for D and have a younger guy prove himself in Gagner's spot. |

I just think it's a long shot, like less than 1%. If Henrik is planning to retire than Benning probably sees Gagner valuable as a playmaker here since this lineup sorely lacks it. And CBJ has more than enough talent to get their PP figured out, I doubt the first thing on their GM's mind will be to trade for Gagner and his contract. If their PP is still struggling by Christmas, I bet he'll make calls around the league for rentals. Maybe Vanek would be of interest to them, not Gagner's 2 and a half years.
And plus Gagner is Tavares' bff, his value is greater off the ice - Nucker101
Just because you don't see the logic in it doesn't make it 1% likely. Gagner's contract is more then affordable cap wise for CBJ and they are committed to competing now. Thus, if this is a solution both sides have incentives, as laid out previously, to explore it.

Okay, how often does it happen later in the season these days?

Then why didn't Columbus re-sign him? |

Our schedule for the first half of the year is/was extremely easy. It gets a lot worse in 2018. We aren't going to be anywhere near a playoff spot come spring. |

Not from what was reported.... Panarin was seen as upgrade....which is true...but then again Gagner may help knowing their PP too.

I understand why you think it makes sense to send him back. But I have a hard time thinking that CBJ would make a move 18 games into the season to bring back a player who had a career year with them, with an additional 2.5 years in term, to fix their PP. Especially when they have such good young talent that will be there long after Gagner.
This would be like the Canucks trading for Burrows or Hansen right now because the Sedin's are slumping, instead of letting them work it out with the teammates they have |
