They'll have a roster spot available. JT will be figuring out which team he's going to sign with.
- Isleshockeyman

Most likely the case. He'll wind up in Tampa IMO. Possibility of Toronto but most likely Tampa I still don't see him being here when all is said and done.

Fixed

- JohnScammo[It means the Isles are deep into the playoffs.]

Even if they're deep in the playoffs there better not be a spot for him.

tampa? they can afford what hes going to demand? only a few teams are capable of paying the salary he is going to command, I think he stays

I hope you're right but so far I don't see anything that's inspiring him to do so.

No offense to kulimen I always liked the guy but I hope not. If there's a place for him in 6 months that's a very bad sign.

“IF” JT moves on, he’ll end up in Buffalo.

Montreal I cannot see with that media mess. Rangers I cannot see either. Does not seem JT's style going to be the biggest rival.

Love ya man but there's a zero percent chance he goes from this team to an even worse disaster. He isn't going there to be with his old buddies.

Maybe the Sabres can engineer trades to bring in Nielsen and Martin, too. Old home week....

Rags were in the back of my head. Made me speculate when they traded stepan and didn't really replace him with anyone and now have tons of cap space. Wondering if theyre keeping that cap space and 1st line center spot for the possibility of signing him. Woulsnt be overly shocking.

Rangers actually don't have the money to manage signing JT and keeping a full roster despite Nash, Holden, and Grabner leaving.

Not saying he's going to either of these 2 teams but they are both good fits.

I mean I don't think there is a team in the league that wouldn't want a player like JT but obviously there's the cap etc.

I think he wants to stay but there still are answers that need to be answered and for that I'm at 50/50 him staying/leaving.

No chance he signs with the Rangers. JT is too sensitive to deal with going to the Isles biggest rival. Tampa with Stamkos is a threat. Maybe a deal with Tampa in January if no Belmont decision happens?

Rangers still not a Cup threat with JT and an aging Hank. Sorry mdw. Tampa or San Jose seem like threats or St. Louis?
