Four of the top 5 rookie scorers are from NCAA. The point was on developmental league being above CHL and rivaling AHL. Not that all players make it just like not all make it from AHL.

As for Gaudette there are no guarantees just like BB learned but would be shocked not to see him stick leaving the NCAA.

I apologize if you dont like my analytical posts. To be honest, my wife and i both have 3 months parental/maternity leave with the birth of our 1st and i have spent a great deal of my free time investing into the world of analytics of hockey. I find it fascinating and i find it extremely useful in nearly all facets of the game from drafting, to game by game data, all the way to data broken down by shift. I will be mindful that analytics arent for all and will limit myself in my posts. I'm not mad. It is more confusion. I watch DP play and he's exactly the reason why Pitt gave up on him. He's nothing more then a 3rd pairing D. He couldn't take a spot away from anyone.

Hutton 2 years ago, Stecher last season. People get on a wave of love for a certain player. It's not there. Hutton and Stecher were never top 4 players. DP is not a top 4 either.

A third pairing D in the NHL does not play a lot. I went through all the games he played and if he played less then 16:15 they won every game. If he played over that, they lost. The last 2 games he has played the most he has the entire season. They allowed 9 goals and scored 1.

It's a team game.

He is a plus 2 in 14 games. To me that shows he is driving a shot count that after 41 shot performance and no goals tonight. Does not matter.

I have tried to be objective with Gagner, but he came in for the PP. On the half boards he gives it away under pressure. On the point he gives it away, and in front of the net he misses the puck. He is not that good.

Granlund should be pissed off for sure. he is a great all round player, and should be put with a center that has offensive instincts.
