Watch a game. Go join the Arizona org. You can prove how good your team is there.

Lol who peed in your corn flakes. I am watching the game.

Just to add. The penguins, new england patriots, and okc thunder all heavily invest in fancy stats. Just saying, you dont havr to agree, but you also dont havr to be a d1ckhead about it either.

Stamkos has 30 points already (1.76 PPG) wow that's an incredible start. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

So the fancy stats Pens got rid of him because he has good fancy stats? Makes sense. Remember 16 minutes a game or the Canucks lose is the line on DP. 13 minutes after 2.

Im truly not trying to shoot down his post or counter to start an argument. The facts are facts and 4 of the top 5 leading rookies coming from college is a testament to the hockey programs they have. I just cant buy into comparing a bunch of 1st round draft picks coming from college having immediate success with a 5th round draft pick and being told the success should translate over. Like i said, in a perfect world, gaudette becomes kesler 2.0 and we have a solid 2nd or 3rd line center next year, but i wont be dissapointed if hes utica bound first year
- Codes1087

Just a friendly FYI to look again at Butcher and Kerfoot's draft round. It wasn't in the first. So you can see why the logical deduction of the progression stated in the post brought up Gaudette.

That line is so dynamic. Kucherov will get 50 in 50 easy barring no injuries

Just so you know. The panthers were the team fully invested in analytics when tallon was moved. Chayka likes them as much as every other team who pays into them. You telling me to go to arizona with my analytics proves my point, keller was passed over 6 times and chosen 7th overall and is currently the leading point scorer rookie. Arizona did well with him lol

And for your reference. Pouliout has over 17 minutes, is not a minus, and has the best advanced stat numbers of all the D. Not sure why me pointing out his corsi numbers triggered you so much

By the way...

Having played less than 20 games this year in the NHL is a very small sample size for rookie scoring, however, out of the current top ten rookies in scoring, four of them played in the NCAA, four are from the CHL and two are from Sweden.

Another thing to consider, three of the NCAA players in that list are much older than the other kids, meaning they are much more physically and mentally prepared for the league. Boeser turns 21 in Feb. Kerfoot is 23 years old, Butcher is 22 years old about to turn 23, only Keller is a young kid having just turned 19.

1) Clayton Keller - NCAA
2) Brock Boeser - NCAA
3) Mathew Barzal - CHL
4) Jesper Bratt - Sweden
5) Yanni Gourde - CHL
6) Mikhail Sergachev - CHL
7) Will Butcher - NCAA
8) Adrian Kempe - Sweden
9) Alexander Kerfoot - NCAA
10) Nico Hischier - CHL

Your list order is wrong

http://www.nhl.com/ice/rookies.htm

Plus faulty comparison's of age over league in development criteria.

Well he won't score centered by Sutter unless he's carrying DD's lucky charms.

@ manvan

I apologize if you dont like my analytical posts. To be honest, my wife and i both have 3 months parental/maternity leave with the birth of our 1st and i have spent a great deal of my free time investing into the world of analytics of hockey. I find it fascinating and i find it extremely useful in nearly all facets of the game from drafting, to game by game data, all the way to data broken down by shift. I will be mindful that analytics arent for all and will limit myself in my posts. I in no way intended to set you off or offend you with my corsi post, but instead post something positive about him seeing as though he truly is a bright light in this impending dark hole of a team we have lol
