knew what he was doing, targeted the head... how they pick and choose what to enforce is beyond me.
- hillbillydeluxe

If he did that exact same thing to crosby, or mcdavid, or any important player he would likely face a 5+ game suspension for it. Either enforce the rules for everyone, or no one

Have you looked at who's on the discipline committee, Stephane Quintal, Patrick Burke, Damian Echevarrieta, Chris Pronger and George Parros. Those guys always looked out for player safety

I know, that’s why they and Edmonton both need to live up to everyone’s expectations and start winning.
- Makita

Oilers will get it together. McJesus and Draisaitl are just too good to be kept down.

But they do need help though and Chia Pet needs to pull something out of his arse.

They had to shed salary but I for one did not think losing Eberle was going to affect them that much...

Morning, I am questioning the coaching strategies of Green and Brown. The first 10 games they pressured the puck carrier, seemed to create turnovers. On the PP the opposition pressures our points and they panic, on the PK our guys back off the their point players to give them room to move around.

Neither Sedin should be playing the point on the power play period. Markstrom needs to sit, sure he makes some great saves, but he has some pretty big brain farts also.

So this just reaffirms what several here thought about the skill of the team, top 3 pick seems like a lock. That is if Edmonton and Phoenix step up and play like they should with such superior talent.

- Makita

Woo... just whoa

Flagged harder then nucker101 when Kessler had his photo in sports illustrated.

Dont you dare question coaching, you're 100 percent wrong.

This is going to be Demko's team soon enough…we just need to get through the Markstrom era.

Never…ever…should the Sedins be playing the point. Not even on a 6 on 3

He'll be fine, before this recent cold stretch he was doing a great job of getting shots on net. Guy is a rookie playing a 82 game schedule for the first time, anyone not expecting some slumps needs to get back to reality.
- Nucker101

Thats it in a nutshell. A big part of making the jump to NHL for any prospect is the 82 game grind against the best. The sophmore season is only an extension of that when Ops get a year of sampling. Looking at Bo & how he prepares for each new season & the Sedins for that matter is what fans will not see if they get tunnel vision on a game by game basis or set of games.

Yep. I have no concern with boeser. Skating could use a bit of work but hes playing great. I know people think he can be a bit selfish but i love his instinct to shoot. We need him to use that shot
- Codes1087

Its also we r not use to a shoot 1st player since Kesler left. I’m cool

The talent is in need of a big upgrade. Believe it or not I am quite content to let this year play out. I just hope they don't feel a debt to bring back the twins next year.

I want a top 5 pick but am happy with a top 10 . I think Bo JV and BB are doing good.

I am no a fan of Benning as a GM and I don't think paying 20 mil for 3 players with 4 goals combined is too smart.

Bad losses send the pom pom wavers back to their caves.
- A_SteamingLombardi

2 dog games Bruins Ducks only so far IMO 3 PP goals against both times. The rest of the time we play a style that wins more often than it loses but growing pains r still evident. We still have promising players & its easy to be overcritical while this season plays out. The TDL will be one more huge step for us moving forward.

I seldom see anyone battling in front of the net or screening the G . Try a big body or a bulldog . Nothing to lose in trying
- VANTEL

Thats very true other than Vanek our smallish wingers or Browns system prefer perimeter passing looking for lanes to open up. Our point shots are not a threat. SJ pressured us on the PP & it worked all to well.

We are tired of the Sedins on the PP for sure. Dire need of a point shot hurts us. As for Marky he’s fine for a 2-3 game stretch but thats it for now. Still prone to a softy so Nillson should rotate in more often i say.
