My point is a shot is a shot. Shots don't win hockey games. Can your team put the puck in the back of the net more then the other team. Can your team keep the puck out of the net more then the other team. Not who can outshoot each other.

I think you see things more black and white. You see a score. I see 2 empty net goals and which players played awful for that 5 nothing loss. You see shot totals, i see who drove possession where they put the puck on the net more often than they allowed pucks on their net. You see plus minus, i see who created more dangerous scoring opportunities vs shots from outside the offensive zone. I see who had uncontrolled clearing and passing zone exits vs who had controlled zone entries vs uncontrolled dumping.

The reality is, we see the game and enjoy the game differently. I think the main difference is i can acknowledge your preference of viewing where as you fail to see where i see mine from.

Just semantics really, it's the same ten players, they could shuffle the chairs weekly with those ten players. To be honest if you're a really good player it doesn't matter if you play in the NCAA, if you choose to play in the CHL or if you choose to play in Europe like Auston Matthews did right from the USHL/National-U18 team.

Clayton Keller could've played in the CHL and still had an outstanding start because he's that good, same with Matthews, when you're good, you're good.

Yup his size certainly doesn't hold him back. Kinda my point, I don't believe the NCAA is responsible for his success, I think God given talent and himself are the reason for his success. Same with Matthews, Boeser, etc. They're just great young players.

When you look at the top of the scoring race, top 50, top 20, doesn't matter, guys who are good come from all over the place. When you're good, you're good.
