Hmm to me they have been dreadful and I was a big supporter of theirs. In nearly an hour of power play time this year, Daniel has 3 points, Henrik 0
I am not discrediting coaching completely, I just was making the point that those types of comments come across exaggerating the effects of on ice performance, while not crediting him with the bad. To me, Green had a massive effect on Virtanen learning how to be a professional off ice, on the ice he plays the same style he always has with more consistency and Pouliot has only been here a month. Not taking anything away from him, just making a point that the credit is excessive - WhiteLie
Talk to any player off the record they will tell you what coaches helped and what didn't. If you played or coached then you will know its not excessive to point out the role of coaching. To me this is a 50 50 impact of player accountability and coaching effect; with individual communication and deployment within applied system. Some match better some get more results and when it comes to developing some push the right buttons on potential. |

Without Tanev and road trip marathon of November will test TG a lot on how he makes adjustments. It will be a great learning curve with the challenges ahead. - Nuck4U
I think it will be a bigger test for the team than it will be for the head coach. At the end of the day, the players have to execute the plan. The coach can point and talk systems all he wants but the players have to play.

It won't be filled with 4 rookies - VANTEL
I don't think so either but don't rule out. The point of the season ending evaluation is to better know who among them is ready.
Much like BB made strides on this and why his spot was his to lose come training camp. Where as they signed Vanek (flip benefit aside) because Goldy showed he needed to work on things more. |

No doubt and that is the other side of the symbiotic mix of players and coaching that make a team. Its an organic process that ebbs and flows that is more work of art then recipe instructions. The ones that combine well are effective. |

Gudbranson has inspired me to rethink my entire everyday life.
I now leave my less valuable things out in the open for potential thieves to take and even sometimes leave a $5 bill outside of my door to satisfy criminals but I'm thinking about investing in a $10,000 safe to put my credit cards, ID's, Gudbranson rookie card and car/house keys in.
I feel way safer now when i go to bed. - Nucker101
Is it the life size cardboard cutout of gudbranson in the window that makes you warm inside, or the inflatable.______..... with a picture taped to its face? |

Those factors can bury a developing player without the right coaching. - Nuck4U
Those factors can develop a player the proper way, not like what has happened to Hutton and Stecher.
Thank goodness your not the GM you would have Goldobin and Rodin playing NHL now.
Sound familiar. |

You must come from the old school of coaching... give me what I want and how I want it or to hell with you. Plus if I see something I don't like then you are that way forever in my mind. Tough messages have a place if delivered strategically. - Nuck4U
No I come from the old school of draft and develop, not the screaming hysterical fans play so and so now, of 1040 you seem to be. |

Expiring contracts will be on the trade menu for JB by TDL. Seems logical that JB's development plan probably involves the top 4 prospects to be brought in for evaluation.
Have them blend into roles vacated by trade and injury(self-induced too) where the following lines could be played out to end the season.
Dahlen EP JV
Goldy Gaudette Gagner
Then asses what off season moves should or can take effect. - Nuck4U
And here it is again, let’s get these guys in now, screw proper development, JV is being developed properly after Benning screwed up with him and McCann |

Well said.
WD had his flaws but he did get a non-playoff club to 103 pts his first year…let's see if Green can match that. After WD's playoff year he didn't have a whole lot to work with but again was making some mistakes… as most new coaches do.
I still think this club will finish around 24th. Our play of late is indicative of how things are going to go for us this year IMO. - LordHumungous
I agree, the team IMO been overachieving, last played a depleted Ducks team and were pretty pedestrian looking overall. |

Different prospect develop at different rates.
He was talking about putting them in after the TDL. Which the team did last season. Which then only BB made the team the next season. |

Name the 5 rookies that were inserted into the team after the trade deadline last year. Not 5 guys that spent the majority of their time on the team, but 5 guys that were brought in from the Comets, a tier two European team or wherever these guys come from. |

Boeser, Molino, Goldobin. 3 not 5. I apologize immensely your honor. You know because the cupboard was stocked last season with so many great prospects. We had a lot of prospects playing in better leagues last season and so many great prospects in the AHL last season that played so well.
I hope you can understand the sarcasm in my post. |
