Trading Tanev hurts development, hurts the defense and improves the tank so you're hurting your own belief system. I wish you well with this internal struggle.
He probably saves that goal that everyone is making fun of with Gudbranson.
I'm glad to have 50% of manvanfan on team tank. |

Look at that grit! Two hands on the stick, stick on the ice, nobody is getting into that crease! - nucks_94
I just dont understand why he moved. Is he that slow that in order to meet a gliding Rakell on the otherside of the net he needed to start this early?

Trade him. - manvanfan
Totally in favor of moving him if the return is correct. But we need to do it before his injuries really take hold and no GM will touch him. But he's our top shut down guy so it makes the situation difficult. |

Im open for this discussion. What are the positive eye tests that gudbranson passes. And of those, where does he exceed past the average shutdown defender? - Codes1087
Codes, and other stat nerds please look into this for me.
Gudbranson is highly effective at keeping players away from the high risk scoring areas
He turns low volume high percentage shots against into high volume low percentage shots.
Basically, in plain speak, for every potential high danger shot against that would occur with a league average defender he allows 1.3 more low danger shots through.
This, combined with his start zone ratio, results in a skewed corsi for, as well as bringing down most other fancy start values he'd otherwise have.
That being said, the allowing of 130 low danger shots rather then 100 high danger shots results in around 9 goals against at low risk shooting percentage average of 7 percent compared to 18 goals against with a high risk shooting area percent average of 18 percent.
TLDR
Gudbranson sucks at preventing shots but is elite at preventing goals.
Short TLDR
Gud is elite

Gudbranson odds moving to the left side because Hutton is mia..

That was Edler who was left chasing from the corner. |

Neither of those are Gudbransons check, one is buttons and one is Dorsets, Dorset is beaten so gudbranson is turning to cover his man, meanwhile Edler is singing kumbiya somewhere with his finger up his butt

No... Just because Gudbranson is on the left side of your screen, doesn't mean he is playing the left side on the ice... And he was playing with Edler here |

Edler was on his side in the left corner going up against the C and RW(I believe Perry and Rakell) and lost the puck battle.

Lol... my bad, it's hard to tell because.... well, the lhd isn't even in the picture.
So then that goal is on edler, not Hutton or gudbranson. |

1) Hutton isn't on the ice.
2) Wingers are supposed to cover the points, the Dorsett's job was to block the passing lane to the Duck on the edge of the frame who was at that point
3) Gudbranson was covering an imaginary player, perhaps Ben Hutton who was on the bench
