Come on Phil, jump in! We need another person that is going to tell it like it is and Not be an organizational ass kiss!

On another note if anybody saw the TV clip on the BLACKHAWKS practice yesterday they did show Stan Bowman, and Al McIsaac ,Watching practice, I hope, I hope they were there looking at what they have, and going over notes, and who they can trade for a Nother top six winger and or a defenseman, I was at the Wolves game last week and for starters I sure would like Shay Theodore!

Well, it sucks that JJ is not here any more (BTW, congrats and good luck, thanks for the fun reading and interaction!).

I'm old too -- and not a fan of Facebook but if I had to guess, there is no message board per se there, it looked to me like it's all Facebook crap. I call it crap because I'm old and cranky and believe Facebook is really a bad thing for so many people. I really don't care to see someone posting about their "great life" and "great things" and all.

In my world, there is always someone that is much better off than you are . . . and even more folks that really, really, really have had some bad stuff happen to them or their close circle. I just don't want to know about either because that's not real life. Too many stories of young people (especially, but some old ones as well) that have taken someone's "life better than mine" to heart and done something bad to themselves.

I believe in real people, real voices and real interaction. Somehow, some way, Facebook is more about what's bad in this world. I need real people to keep believing there is more good in this world than not.

Hey Savvy, I'm no fan of facebook either, but I also know there's no stopping progress.

Hi 66, hope you are doing well!
Yeah, I know what you mean -- sort of like me at work -- I have steadfastly refused to use the "Messenger" function of Outlook. Basically told people, you know where I am, you've got my number, call me! I have enough electronic distractions without another that adds no value to my life. See what I mean about me being old and crotchety!

I agree with totally about Facebook. Think about it this site requires you to agree to a code of conduct and if it’s not followed your post gets deleted or you get suspended or banned. Pretty much anything goes with Facebook. Maybe Facebook needs Refs and Mod’s

A GM gambles or just plainly makes a poor decision in a trade, or bad draft selection. Not each transaction always a win, win. We are not going to see Stan defend his moves on this site or anywhere else. Nonetheless, he has a second life, and I do not think he will overpay on a contract again.

While I am on edge but willing to let Bowman continue, the grading on a coach is much harder and, perhaps, unfair.

Again a "perhaps" on whether a country club atmosphere has often been normal state of Blackhawks. They did win three Cups with that pervasive attitude prevalent IMHO. I cannot offer support on this, just a hunch which I strongly believe many would concur.

Now what is unforgivable is if a coach looses the room. We cannot be certain on this
We can feel Q emotion at practice was a deserved kick at players. Bowman should trade a key veteran other than Kane. And recall a couple Rockford guys. Humble those whom he feels have a don't care or practice poorly.

Send a message. A coach must have players respect even if he is not a players coach. It is a business and players are well paid. So shape up or ship out. Bowman should back Q

If players do not turn around their attitude, however, the coach has to go.

Got an email from the-rink.com, said they are working on some type of message board format and they hope to have it "soon". So we'll see i guess.

Bob, keep us posted on this -- w/o a message board over there, we'll be taking this thread to its ultimate limits. You'd think if HB had a new blogger for us in place, they would have posted something 1st thing today.

Going to be a lot of frustrated Hawk fans w/no outlet once the team gets down a few to Philly tonight . . .

Same policies exist on Facebook groups. There are plenty of discussion groups on Facebook that have moderators that will remove posts and/or ban people for inappropriate posts/behavior. Like most things, Facebook is what you want/make it to be. There is good and bad.

Interesting thought, especially considering that the Hawks blog is usually one of the most active ones on the site consistently.

Totally agree with your first paragraph, but as far as the coach goes, it’s of the old saying be careful what you wish for, because with the BLACKHAWKS have behind the bench with Joel, I don’t think neither of them are head coach material, at this point, I think Joel is not the problem, and maybe it is a couple of Bowman’s recent draft picks and decisions on them that possibly could not be panning out early on.I agree with you also maybe it is time to make a trade of significance, and I am willing to bet that those discussions probably are taking place but we shall see!
