EDIT: Went to it on my phone, but its not up and running yet, so maybe it won't be blocked once it is...

I get a "Site under construction" and "official launch date 11/1/17".

Yes, focus of the site is going to be primarily Hawk-related for the time being, with deeper coverage on the draft, analytics, cap, skills, etc.

There are 2 full-time writers in addition to myself and another 2 part-time. I believe the plan is to add 2-3 more ASAP covering some of the areas outlined.

So, if ya know anybody . . .

Good luck, John.

We did have our differences, but I think I understand what you have been trying to do - and, I think, did it successfully.

Like Crawford, you have had a good team in front of you (your readers), but that doesn't detract from your running a very good blog.

DeBrincat on the first line is interesting. I know someone suggested it a few days ago, might as well try it and see what happens. Him on the third line was not working, maybe he'll be better with two guys who can go get the puck. If not, maybe he gets a trip to Rockford.

Panik on the second line is an upgrade from Hartman. He gives that line some needed grit. I'm not sure he's the long term solution there though.

Hayden on the third line is a well earned promotion. Hopefully AA and Sharp respond to his aggressiveness.

Hartman on the fourth line seems like a wake up call. I hope he answers.

I'm glad Kempny is back in the top six defensively.

I like the changes, save Seabs and Forsling. That was a really bad pairing last season. I'd prefer Seabs-Kempny. Hopefully they can prove me wrong.

Asking Forsling to carry Seabrook is a little to much for the youngster.

Yeah, Tavares really fills the seats in NY. 4 years of declining attendance... What is the average now? 13,000? Yup that's some ROI.
- riozzo

That's a rotten place to go for a hockey game, that place in Brooklyn. And the old tyme Islanders fans don't want to go that far to have a post in their way. I'm not blaming Tavares for attendance.

think that has a lot to do in the hell hole of a building they are playing in more so then Tavares talent.....and why he still hasn't signed there long term.

I like Toews a lot, but unlike Kane I don't see a improving his game year in and year out as much as his crusade to grow his own damn food, etc.

We have 72 games to go, but so far......more of the same from the hawks if your expectations are to be a cup contender year in and year out.

Crusades are for the mentally ill

Paraphrasing so no quotes here, but no one is fanatical about convincing others that the sun is going to rise tomorrow morning. If they were fanatical about that, you'd worry more about them than the sun rising.

I've seen Saad and I'm sad he's not Panarin's replacement on Line Number 2

I think they've been kicked out of Brooklyn after this year or next year - the owners of the Barclays Place think they can make more money with other events than Isle hockey.

He carried the team? When?

2012-13 he was solid but c'mon that team was so deep and incredible in all areas, probably would have won the Cup even if we still had Niemi that year.

2013-14 he was outplayed by Quick as we lost the WCF

2014-15 was an elite all around team. Top 4D was unfathomably good, as were the forwards. And just like in 2013 we won the Cup because of all around greatness, not because Crawford carried us.

2015-16 he was outplayed by Elliot as we were bounced in the first round

2016-17 he finished 21st in GA and 13th in SV%.....hardly "elite"

I don't care what his numbers say early this season, he's not elite, never has been.

TOTALLY AGREE. Crawford can make some great saves like every goalie can once in a while, but the fact remains that he's a middle of the pack goalie and likely always will be....signed, Gump Worsley

How about Ship 50% retained? 2.25 AAV. for HINO and 3rd? My guess is the would prefer waiver exempt payers. I might and then move AA down a line to 4th line and play Ship at 3rd line with hayden and sharp or move AA to a wing. and play him with ship on the 3rd line.

Forsberg should really be the starter. Limit Crawford to about 10 games per year.

Good take on it. I think Panik maybe adds a bit of the North/South speed game more so than Hartman, so when Schmaltz is streaking up ice or Kane is in his phone booth stick handling, maybe Panik pushes back the D and goes to the net a bit. I have to wonder how much Q will get this line away from having to defend. Panik doesn't have the best awareness on the ice, IMO.
